If only there were schools offering their entire courses in e-book format! This would revolutionize the study process and boost sales of such color e-readers. I remember carrying a super-heavy backpack to my nursing school classes and their prerequisites: it was unbelievably, murderously heavy!

@@kamaluvictor I agree that writing is needed in such devises, but plenty of textbooks must be in color.

This was done in Russia around ten years ago. Now all school textbooks have their digital versions. You can read it on a computer or a reader. However, it doesn't work well for many reasons, especially for children aged 6-14. For older children, it's slightly better, but it still doesn't function as well as one might expect. As far as I know some countries in Europe have about the same experience.
