Hi Michael, I’m using my Kineon move + on my new shoulder injury . I’ve found it really helpful with reducing swelling and pain on both my old-man squash playing knees, just ready to go back in court and I fall and rip my shoulder! I’m hoping that it has just as effective influence on this new tear. Lovely to hear your positive outlook- I know this works for me

Hi there, new here, enjoying your videos. I have been using the Joovv red light machine for months (close up) on my injured knee and was mystified why it doesn't seem to get better. It definitely has helped other issues. You explained it very well here. So this is much more focused right? Also wanted to let you know we just bought a top of the line Sunlighten sauna with your code, so thanks! 😊
@MichaelKummer Жыл бұрын
@@nancymc4154 Yeah, regular red light therapy devices using LEDs don't deliver the proper dose of light to be effective for joint issues. Thanks so much for your support, I much appreciate it and hope you'll enjoy your sauna as much as we enjoy ours!

Would like to see a review of this vs the flexbeam.
@MichaelKummer Жыл бұрын
I don't have hands-on experience with FlexBeam but they appear to be using LEDs only (much like a red light therapy belt). I don't see how that can be more effective than laser and I seriously doubt LED-emitted red/NIR light penetrates tissue 10cm as they claim. I'll reach out to them to learn more but that's my initial take on their tech.
@christofinb Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelKummer hi 👍 the flexbeam does only indeed utilise LED’s, it was a toss up between the Move+ and the flexbeam for me, the move+ seems even more focused on particular areas of the body and uses laser, but for me it was a balance for focus and coverage that the flexbeam has. I have used lamps before but I don’t seem to get the penetration that the flexbeam has, it seems to be a very intense treatment of RL AND IR. But saying that I have no experience of the move+ and it looks to have a good build quality.

I'm a retired military veteran who works out alot (cardio, weights, swimming, biking, but stopped running due to knee pain; used to run marathons, triathlons, ski, beach volleyball). 6'4" 230lbs. 4 knee surgeries on same knee (ACL, MCL, meniscus, cyclops lesion) and 1 shoulder (superior labrum tear anterior to posterior, biceps tenodesis). Don't have much shoulder pain, but knee pain is there, so I'm eager to try out the Kineon MOVE+ Pro. BUT... I also have a question on protocols: my 18 year old black lab pup has arthritis... I intend to use this on her as she has had professional laser light therapy on her joints before. Has anyone in the Kineon community developed dosing protocols for pets? Thanks!
@MichaelKummer Жыл бұрын
I suspect the dosing is pretty much the same as for humans considering the tissues are so similar.
@mikahundin Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelKummer Thank you. With some searching I'm finding more and more info on protocols people are using for dogs. Another interesting bit: I believe somewhere you stated that Kineon Move+ is FDA approved... to clarify, it is FDA cleared, which is slightly different. FDA cleared means a similar technology has been approved, but not that rigorous (expensive and time lengthy) testing has occurred on this specific device. It's not a negative -- the device may easily pass such testing, it just has not gone through the process, probably because it is also a very new device. Hope that helps.
@ekulikow Жыл бұрын
@@mikahundin The product is not actually FDA cleared yet. The manufacturing facility has been FDA certified but the product submission is still under review. Kino is being a bit loose with saying they are FDA cleared. If you go onto the FDA database, the device is not cleared yet.

Hey Michael - thanks for the review (and article)! Question - my ankle has joint problems & skin issues - does this device cover both? Or do you recommend something else?
@MichaelKummer Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can address both issues using Move+ Pro. But keep in mind that cosmetic skin issues (eczema...) are usually caused by dietary factors (or personal care products). So you might also have to attack their root cause (e.g., cut out inflammatory foods).

Thanks! I have nerve damage in my foot (popped up after a surgery), which causes pain, skin issues, and tightness, so I’m looking for an all-in-one option. Diet - I’m pretty dialed into animal-based at the moment. 👍🏼

@@MichaelKummer this study is from 2004 done in rabbits. I would like to see one done in people with confirmed (xray, MRI) OA who undergo this treatment for a period of time and then imagining shows at least partial regrow of the cartilage. In general, a study with such promising results is followed by other studies to confirm the findings and goes even further to include people.
@MichaelKummer4 ай бұрын
@@NoName-eu4sz PBM in the context of tissue regworth is still in its infancy but there are several studies involving humans that look more than promising: For example, a study published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine (2016) reviewed randomized controlled trials and found that PBM could reduce pain and improve joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. While these studies primarily focus on symptom relief, some indicate that PBM might also support cartilage repair by reducing inflammation and promoting tissue healing. A study published in Photomedicine and Laser Surgery (2017) evaluated the effects of PBM on knee osteoarthritis and found evidence of an increase in cartilage thickness in some patients, suggesting that PBM could play a role in regenerating cartilage tissue. A study in Photobiomodulation, Photomedicine, and Laser Surgery (2020) explored the long-term effects of PBM on cartilage tissue. It indicated that, over time, patients experienced improvements in joint function and pain reduction, with some evidence pointing toward increased cartilage repair. If you suffer from osteoarthritis or similar conditions, you can either wait until more studies have been conducted or start using PBM today while scientists figure out the exact mechanisms of action.

As someone who had osgood shlatter at age 15 that then developed chronic tendonopathy and dealing with it now still at 29- have your son stop the high impact sport and work on foam rolling and stretching their quads a bit each day. The muscles and tendons are not growing as quick as the bones - gotta work on stretching out the quads to help relieve the pressure where the patella tendon joins the tibia

Obtaining (or maintaining) optimal health requires pushing the boundaries but it's easy to cross the line at which the rate of damage is higher than the rate of repair. Those issues aren't limited to CrossFit but apply to many athletes including runners or football players (to name a few).
