It's always faster to switch to your secondary bike than to fix the puncture.

Your comment on life events resonates; It took me years to realise and accept the World is not against me but that life is challenging. As an example, when driving somewhere, I would blame tractors, lorries, cyclists ( :) ), whoever, for deliberately obstructing me and making me late, rather than understanding they have somewhere to go too. Now I simply leave 5 or 10 minutes earlier! Keep up the great work Coach.

Broke my leg in a bike crash several years ago (got a big titanium nail in the femur to put it back together again) was back on the saddle 2 weeks later.. I needed a walker, couldn't go upstairs on my own. But i could pedal, at least on the turbo trainer. Punctured tires are for amateurs 😀

Better to have a puncture before the ride than during the ride...with no tools...6 miles from the car. Positive spin; I blew my daily step count thru the roof! 😉👍

i did a two day gran fondo in June. I had a flat on both days. Annoying but not a disaster. Still completed the ride on both days.

I am proud to say that a puncture, even 3?in a row never stopped me from riding and finishing. Cheers coach.

A puncture, what's that said Simon Whitfield winner of the first Olympic Triathlon at a warm up race in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He was on the fifth lap of six bike laps, do I go into the transition to repair or stick it out in the lead pack and draft off the others - draft was his choice, completed the last lap then slowly picked off every other athlete on the run portion to win. You do what needs to be done or improvise a solution/work around to reach your goal.

Jesus H Christ before modernity arrived people got on with problems. A puncture is only flat at the bottom 😂

I've got a stuck seat post, been trying to free it for a week AAAAAAAAUG !!!!!!
@yisraels45555 күн бұрын
I had a REALLY stuck seatpost on an old steel bike. Left the bike in the car on a hot sunny day. Needed gloves to touch it... But the heat helped release the seatpost and it came right out.

Or go tubeless. I've not fixed a puncture in 4 years!

@@beanykey Do they leak air if you go tubeless??
@beanykey4 күн бұрын
@vinodsamala8592 tubeless does leak air more than inner tubes so you'll need to set the pressure before every ride. But I always did that anyway.
