That sort of melancholic moment when you return home from a long and fantastic trip, and you just sit down to get lost in your own thoughts. that precise moment was so amazingly captured in the scene at the Shire's pub. The four of them didn't say a word, but we understood what they felt.

If Sméagol and Gollum occupied the same body, why was he in the tavern scene at the end of the movie? Wouldn’t he have died with Gollum? Never understood this. Can someone explain this?

Smeagol/Gollum isn’t in the tavern…he’s dead at this point I assume you mean the guy holding the pumpkin? He does have a similar look but I’m pretty certain that’s a completely different actor lol It wouldn’t make any sense to randomly stick Andy Serkis (Smeagol actor) in the scene… I believe it’s the actor Tim Gordon but I’m not 100% sure

Anticlimactic for a movie format. Peter jackson transmitted what Tolkien wanted to show when a soldier comes back from war and the struggles to adapt to society. This is a well made change at least for this format. The same thing happened with Glorfindel and with Frodo leaving the Fellowship of the Ring.
