I love when a character who's been around for year's all of a sudden has their lore expounded on. Where we find out, stuff wasn't an accident, and we get good retcons. It's a good way to softly reboot the character without erasing that characters experiences. It just shows there was more going on behind the scenes. Stories like Batman "Court of Owls", this Venom story, Nick Fury "Original Sin", and the latest Kang the Conqueror mini series.

I view flash vs Eddie and the symbiote like Wally west vs Barry Allen and the speed force. Eddie was the first, and many regard him as the best, but Thompson understood the symbiote the way Wally understood the speed force, and made it better and explored more of the symbiote powers and potential for good.

Venom has been my favourite super hero/villain for almost 20 years now. That said: I'll be the first to admit that Venom hasn't had many great and must have solo runs. This current run of Venom is so interesting and filled with so much great storytelling and lore expansion, and the artists have all done awesome work in each issue, making it an all around awesome package which I have read multiple times. Eddie and Venom's story has evolved so much, and they have become such well rounded characters that you really feel for now for more reasons than ever before, and he's in the midst of such a fitting conclusion to the story that first started back in the 80's. He's evolved from this character who is cool looking and had some good stories in his own series and others, into something very special in the Marvel universe and for me personally. He's my favourite character for so many more reasons than he was prior to this run. This, aswell as the King in Black story, are my favourite things out of Marvel Comics in the past 20 or 30 years. I absolutely love what they did with Venom these past few years and can't wait for when Venom 35/200 finally comes out next month.

Well, I always figured back in the days that Venom had a spider symbol because it hated Spider-man and had that kinda look before, but when Knull got introduced it seems like the spider symbol was always his thing also, which also bugs me tbh. Also because his looks like an Alien facehugger's shadow. Carnage then has that symbol also because he's now wearing a "Grendel" suit, but yeah, I feel you, just, why?

Are we talking about the same Hulk that allowed himself to be captured and dismembered just so he could duped a group of " scientists" and learn how his new abilities work? The same Hulk who the took control of said military facility and turned it into his own personal base of operations? Damn dude. How smart do you have to be to get some respect around here? I'm watching this April 2024..& being a lifelong NYC resident & Marvel Comics fan..it always makes me crazy thinking about how ANYONE in the Marvel Universe can keep living in NYC after it gets destroyed MULTIPLE times..in this storyline & MANY others.. as cool as it was as a kid to have the place that i lived being the CENTER of the Marvel Universe & all its battles..it also made me think "WHY would anyone STAY in a place that gets reduced to RUBBLE time after time??!! Even the existence of DAMAGE CONTROL doesn't explain how its possible!! 😂😂
