King Seiko 56KS: Poor Man's Grand Seiko?

I have just recently bought a KS 5625-7041 Chronometer in an absolute terrible condition. I had it cleaned and restored and now I absolutely adore it. It came out perfectly. Worth every penny. I have several Seiko watches and one of them is a GS 6145-8050, a great buy. But this KS is stunning in every way.

Just bought a freshly serviced 5626-7111. 50 years old and +1.5s is insane for a piece i paid 400€ for.

I own a KS 5625-7000 with a white dial......great watch! As I have been told,Seiko supplied a few hundred KS's of various types to the governing body in Switzerland and just under 75 were given the official name of Chronometer(assumption being the rest were sent back......maybe the quality was as good as what the Swiss were putting out?). Those that were sent carried a 6-digit serial number. While my 1969 5625 doesn't carry the "Chronometer" label, I'm sure that it would qualify as such.

Nice video, thanks. I like it on the bracelet. Also, nice size. I prefer those Datejust type do everything watches in classic 36mm size. Really, to my taste 41mm for that type of watch seems out of whack, but that's just me.

I didn't want to wear anything less than 40mm but I changed my mind after a few days of wearing a Seiko LM. I am comfortable wearing up to 44mm even if my wrist is not that big. Thanks for dropping by.

It came with the watch. Bought the watch in Cambodia. My dealer imports from Japan.
