I really liked how quests would fail if you didn't do them. Only thing was that a lot of quests were badly explained and you didn't realize there was a time limit, and at other times timed quests would start all by themselves while you were doing another quest and then you would automatically fail the quest.
@Nate-bn5kk13 күн бұрын
Agreed, I think they ironed out those kinks. The first game was a sort of test run of sorts, after all.
@Baraz_Red13 күн бұрын
Yeah. I fetched a list of timed quests so I would know... I cannot accept not knowing for an adventure that will take me over 100 hours (yes, I played and searched KCD1 fully). That is definately something I hope they fix in KCD2 (i.e. an Indicator in-game that a quest is timed).
@Maitredebo213 күн бұрын
I'm the kind of guy that just pick every quests first and then I choose what to do. So yeah, I wasn't a big fan when a pop up shows a quest fail randomly without explaning why.
@Bassalicious12 күн бұрын
@@Maitredebo2 If somebody says "please help me, it's urgent!" then I want that quest to fail the day after at least, otherwise the words mean nothing. Also side activities that rely on an NPC being at a specific location should fail if they need to go somewhere else, like sleep or eat (unless they're waiting at a camp with all the amenities I guess) but be available again when you talk to the person again later. Also the main story will change the world sometimes - castles being besieged, villages pillaged etc. I really like that kinda stuff, so quests have to fail sometimes if you promise to help but never did. It's a role playing game, not an MMO where quests are just chores to unlock stuff. RP it out and you're fine.

I don't understand all the hate on this game, so many people think this game sucks when it's one of the best RPGs that have came out in a long while and actually care about their community and executing a historically accurate and fun immersive gameplay experience. You can see the passion and excitement the developers have for this game when presenting it to us; I haven't seen that much enthusiasm in a long time. The gameplay looks to be a huge improvement from the first one

I am also a big fan but it seems like there are two main reasons: Firstly the first game was clunky and the fighting and lockpicking wasn’t refined enough…which I agree upon (Iam very good in the combat btw and have a deep understanding of the mechanics) But I highly believe that it now is on a level that that shouldn’t be that big of a problem anymore Secondly many want the power fantasy of being somehow special and more powerful than others and also want fantasy elements and not that grounded and historical gameplay …which I guess comes down to taste despite I highly believe that some of them will change their mind when growing older….
@nexarath13 күн бұрын
I have now watched around 50 or so videos surrounding the game. The only time I've seen the word hate mentioned is in your comment, my dude, and people have, in my experience, been incredibly hyped and positive about the game.

@@WaterMeA-biscuit The game is clearly built for a specific audience. You could be forgiven the first time around, but if you're still talking shit about the game and your reasoning is all the stuff that makes the game what it is and makes it a hit with people who want that sort of experience, well, that's on you. That being said, I've seen far more praise, even to the point of the stupid kind that any sane developer DOESN"T want ("this game is anti-woke so Imma buy it right away" type stuff) than negativity, and, again, I'm basing this on what I'm seeing in the media and press, chiefly including YT, ofc. My own friends either realize that this isn't the type of game they'd enjoy or are like me and February 4th can't come soon enough.
@cap_junn639713 күн бұрын
its nice to see the new lockpicking visuals. that said, they did add in the simplified lockpicking for controller as a toggleable option in the first game. Said option is the exact same as it appears to be in KCD 2. And, if im honest, I've extensively played both keyboard and mouse as well as controller in KCD over the years and even though mouse is significantly easier for lockpicking, controller is by no means "hard". I think a lot of the people who are bad at it are really loud about it. mind you these are the same people who think the Rattay Tournament is difficult.

Any word on improvements to changing targets in combat from the sequel? It was my biggest pet-peeve from the first game that the change target button would not swap to targets that were off screen, and you had no way to manipulate the camera to get them on-screen when you were in a fight and targetting an enemy. It really took me out of it since fighting against multiple opponents is very difficult (as it should be) and I did not appreciate being additionally handicapped by game systems in those situations. Honestly I'm going to get it either way the first game was fantastic but it's the number 1 thing that I want to see improved.
@WolfheartFPS13 күн бұрын
In KCD2 when you hold down the middle mouse button it gives you free aim to look wherever you want. Then you can let go when you are aiming at your preferred target. Or you can use tab to change targets but it can feel a little janky.

Might be a little responsible for stealth changes. Remember reporting an exploit they responded too. The fort you gotta escape, because how stupid the ai was, I was able to stealth kill every enemy in the fort. - Kill / draw attention - Lure to start and hide - Stealth kill returning enemies that go back like nothing happened No matter how much attention you draw, they will go back to the fire like nothing happened once they lose you. These changes seem to put enemy on alert once the slightest thing seems weird, like an open door. Good.
