@@themeddite No it isn't the game just never explained how dice mechanics in a D&D game worked. KDK has the same/similar combat as Morrowind you just have actual feedback for the dice rolls now like being able to see your opponent dodge.

@@kas7423 so there's a stamina system, which is sometimes ok. The problem lies in that not only does it take stamina to swing, but stamina is taken away when you are hit by an enemy (before your health is). Additionally, stamina can only regenerate to whatever your max health happens to be, and regenerates very slowly during combat. This does two things, firstly it creates a sort of snowball effect where being hit once will permanently reduce that person's effectiveness in combat for a few seconds, compiling on every single hit. If they are hit enough, they can't attack back at all. All of this is somewhat fine in a duel, or a 1v1. Bandits/basically every enemy fight in groups. Say two hit you at once, the fight is basically over as there is no way for you to make up for the stamina you lost in that first bout. But that's not the only problem. The devs decided to introduce a system similar to For Honor in the stance aspect. The problem is that, unlike For Honor, there's basically no way to tell what stance an opponent is in, as everyone moves super slow and clunky with little to no "tells". And you can't block an opponent if you are in a different stance to them. Oh, and blocking takes stamina, so even if you get it right, you're still at a defacite as they can keep attacking you.

Yeah the combat was hard at first but if you train with Sir Robard or whoever for like 2 hours, the combat becomes pretty easy and satisfying. Not to mention once you have more perks and you unlock new attack combos, you can honestly become overpowered.

Honestly I didn't know you could lose to Kunesh, but when I found out I decided to lose on purpose while still getting xp, get patched up by mom, then try to open his chest to get the option for lockpicks from Fritz, afterwards get the boys to help me beat up Kunesh for more xp. You can also pick all the herbs in Skalitz to the point of unlocking Leg Day for that strength xp.

5:07 since I recently learned this I thought about sharing. When u fight on horseback the force of the strikes are mostly generated by the motion of the animal. So, if you were to cut some unarmoured peasant's back, just placing the weapon on the right trajectory will do the job. Even if It doesn't seem to carry much power behind it (cause It totally looks like a light tap) it's like having a scythe attacked to the side of a car slice u.
