Using specific mods was the only way to achieve what I've been wanting to do with KH3 for years. Custom musics, custom party members, custom abilities and new battles re-created specifically for the purpose of delivering the definitive KH3 experience. And this could only be achieved thanks to the impressive work made by modders. As in the usual Timeline format, the gameplay parts will be summed up, and the orchestral versions of the soundtrack will replace the standard ones for most of the time. This is on Proud Mode, as I need Sora's allies to stay alive as much as they can. As always, I aim to showcase entertaining boss battles, as well as letting Sora have his amount of "troubles". What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, and it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original 2018 Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then, as it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!). But I've seen so many requests of seeing this project to be continued that I decided to go on with KH3 in a special way. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. It’s kind of unusual that Mandy Moore didn’t reprise her role as Rapunzel for _Kingdom Hearts III_ considering she has reprised her role as the character in the majority of her appearances following the film such as _Tangled Ever After, Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, Disney Infinity, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Lego Disney Princess: The Castle Quest, Once Upon a Studio_ and more recently the _Disney Speedstorm_ video game along with the fact she was in the first _Kingdom Hearts_ game as the voice of Aerith. Now I give the benefit of the doubt that _This is Us_ which Mandy starred in at the time might of taken priority as with _Tangled_ the series but the latter knowing the process of recording of an animated series was recorded several months in advance (normally 9-10 months to a year before the animated episode airs) so it wasn’t the animated series that took priority and usually filming for a new season of a Live-Action TV series, like in this case _This is Us_ are filmed within June/July so Square had all the time in the world to get Mandy Moore to return to voice Rapunzel in _Kingdom Hearts III_ for a day or two in the recording session since the KH3 game started doing English voice recording in February/March of 2018, not to mention Square Enix were able to bring back *MOST* of the voice actors from _Frozen_ such as Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff and especially Idina Menzel to reprise their roles for the Arendelle world in _Kingdom Hearts III_ before they got extremely busy with their work schedules in Kristen and Idina Menzel’s case. But Who can say, I also think Mandy was also busy with her musical singing career with her husband Taylor Goldsmith at that time which could be another possible factor why Mandy was unable to reprise her role to voice Rapunzel in KH3, but Kelsey Lansdowne does a fine job voicing Rapunzel in the game and I am surprised how eerily close she sounded like Mandy Moore in some scenes of the game.

KH3 has such a huge cast of characters. It must have been a HUGE logistical undertaking for the team to get all of the actors on board, and get a schedule going to get all of them in the studio. Just imagine, they had to individually have all these actors come in to record all their stuff, some actors for just a couple hours and some for multiple days to record all of the dialogue and battle grunts. If a character has both dialogue and battle sounds those get recorded on different days, because the battle sounds can be taxing on the actors voice. Depending on the actors availability, it can be hard to schedule those multiple sessions happen in a reasonable timeframe and make all the deadlines. I recall Haley Joel Osment mention that in an interview that he recorded for KH3 over the course of months, and that he would record in different locations depending on where he was filming other projects at the time. People from Japan and Burbank would be on video call with with Haley Joel Osment, directing and working with him as he recorded his lines for the day. Thats people in 3 different timezones, working crazy hours to get the job done. The fact that they were able to do this for so many actors and get so many of the original actors to reprise their roles at all in KH3 is nothing short of amazing. And for the characters who they couldn't get the OG actors for, they got really great sounding actors to fill these roles! But now here's my theory.. to start off.. obviously: unless any of the parties involved speak on it, its impossible to say why Ms Moore wasn't able to reprise her role in KH3. It HAD to have been a scheduling issue. Whether she declined to do it, or was simply unable to, it had to have been because she was busy with other things. Now Rapunzel has a fair amount of dialogue and battle sounds, so she likely would have had to come in for multiple sessions. Like you said, the Frozen cast all reprised their roles, yes. But it's important to note that they didn't have any battle sounds, so they likely only had to come in for a couple hours to get the work done. Also, and I hate to say it, but Frozen is Disney's flag ship product, it's insanely popular, especially at that time. The inclusion of Arendelle in KH3 was a great way to promote the Frozen brand leading into the release of Frozen 2 later that year. KH3 promotes Frozen, and Frozen promotes KH3. Getting the original cast all involved for KH3 was an essential marketing strategy to prove to fans that Disney cares about quality and consistency. They put out a trailer for KH3 boasting about the cast, and Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell were at the top of the list of actors that would be included. I believe wholeheartedly that if there were any similar scheduling issues at all in getting Idina Menzel and Mandy Moore in this video game, then Disney would prioritize Idina and put a lot more effort in ensuring her inclusion than Mandy Moore. But that's just my theory, lol. But regardless of all that: Kelsey Lansdowne who plays Rapunzel in KH3 does a great job here. On her instagram her latest post is announcing her involvement in KH3 and she was really proud and excited for getting the chance to do it. She captures Rapunzels spirit really well in the game, Rapunzels' interactions with Sora, Donald and Goofy, and all the little optional cutscenes/moments as she discovers the world outside her tower are so adorable, the Tangled world is my favorite in the game!

The field and battle themes for this world are by far the best ones in the entire game in my opinion. I love how you used the Orchesta version too!

Yeah most of the field and battle themes for the KH3 worlds on the KH timeline videos are using the musical scores from the World of Tres Orchestra event and that also includes the ones not originally composed by Yoko Shimomura (e.g. Titanic Clash, Skyward Striker, Anger Unchained, the Field and Battle themes of The Caribbean and San Fransokyo) so hearing those non-Shimomura themes with the Orchestral score reminds me of the KH1/KH2 HD Final Mixes with most of the music themes remastered with an Orchestral score.

@@windwaker2094Exactly and frankly during the world's 2nd and 3rd acts the world’s story just went downhill which led to the world feeling to linear and forced and cause some scenes to feel over the top and "preachy” with the trio "sticking out like a sore thumb", plus they remove mentioning of the golden flower, Sora and the gang never question about Rapunzel's long hair along with witnessing Rapunzel’s magic powers through her hair, flanderizing Flynn/Eugene's character compared to his movie counterpart thanks to Marluxia replacing the Stabbington Brothers, and especially having Sora and the gang be clueless of Mother Gothel's true colors while remained blissfully unaware about her after their first and *ONLY* time encountering her before Marluxia told them through context was a red flag. I also don’t think Rapunzel's journey from the tower to the Kingdom was two days like in the film, nor do I think that Rapunzel and Flynn *EVER* went to the Snuggly Duckling with the Pub Thugs and the Dam like in the movie when they separated from Sora, Donald, Goofy from the Reaper nobodies, which makes sense cause when Maximus was able to rescue Eugene it didn’t look like he recruited the Thugs to help him out like in the film, not to mention the Guards were not after Flynn as it was only just Maximus that chased him which would explain his dialogue: _"The horse was enough, I don't need monsters on my trail."_ It honestly makes me very skeptical if we get worlds based on _Moana, Zootopia, Raya and the Last Dragon, Encanto, Strange World_ and _Wish_ especially the former two films, _Raya_ and _Encanto_ going the route of Arendelle and especially Kingdom of Corona in a future Kingdom Hearts Game (e.g. _Kingdom Hearts IV)_ cause I just don’t want Sora & Company to be "bystanders" or have them involved with the movies cast in some instances but eventually have them separate from them then reunite with them again and then have the trio be just "there" sticking like a sore thumb in the background not knowing what the heck is going on and doing their own conflict (e.g. Fighting a Giant Heartless) at the worlds climax, while the movies characters just primarily play out like in the movie but don't acknowledge Sora and the gang until after the conflict is solved.

The remix this game did for Tension Rising was one of my favorite new musics from this game. It sounds really cool, and I enjoy it a lot. Though, as much as I love this game for being the ultimate climax against Xehanort, and the return of so many of our favorite characters, there are a few moments where the voice acting felt a little off to me. Marluxia on this world was one example.

man.................. i rewatched this movie recently at a friend's house. comparing these scenes to their original versions in the film really does lay bare just how lackluster they feel. the same goes for pretty much All the scenes in KH Disney worlds that directly recreate moments from the movies. it's inevitable i guess, i just hadn't really noticed how incredibly stark the difference was with Tangled until now lol. anyway, great job as usual Everglow. glad you don't appear to be cutting all the optional Rapunzel interactions like you did with the rock em sock em robots and the laughing gas and things like that previously. Sora, Donald and Goofy have now arrived at the Kingdom of Corona, the world of the 2010 animated film, Tangled, based on the fairy tale, Rapunzel. After fending off the Heartland chasing after a man, calling himself Flynn Rider, he finds himself in a tower that is inhabited by a beautiful girl named, Rapunzel. He reluctantly agrees to take her out of the tower to where rather peculiar lanterns will light up the sky on her birthday. Back at the tower, Mother Gothel, the woman who raised Rapunzel finds her missing and has an encounter with a man with pink hair and a black coat, this of course is Marluxia, from the original Organization 13. Marluxia soon makes his presence known to Sora and his group when they separate from Rapunzel and Flynn while dealing with Reaper Nobodies, a new type that they have never seen before.

Not sure if it's even her real version or the data backup. (Seeing as, you know, she died before the Keyblade War even truly started.) If it's her data backup, might not even be the same person as her real world counterpart and her memories might not even be fully reliable. (Plus, the rules with the lifeboats might still play a factor depending on how it works regarding travel between two different universes instead of just time or different worlds. We still only have Sora's "Reality eviction notice" from the end of KH3 as the closest example and, even then, it's obviously not the same situation as what Luxu did with Strelitzia during the events of Union Cross.)

Personally Toy Box and The Caribbean were the best IMHO. As much as I enjoy the first act of Kingdom of Corona, during the second and third acts, Sora, Donald and Goofy acted as Bystanders in some instances for the majority of the events of the world even Flynn Rider/Eugene also was a complete 180 of his character from the film considering Marluxia (which everyone but their grandmothers knew he was going to be in) replaced the Stabbington Brothers.

Alright another great timeline video from Everglow . Anyways I’m gonna address one of the biggest issues with this game and compare it to 358/2 days . I’m sure majority of us kingdom hearts fans were disappointed with the lack of Disney bosses with kingdom hearts 3 . But I think a lot of people seem to forget that 358/2 days basically had the same issue with its lack of Disney bosses . The only Disney bosses on that game are Pete and the three pranksters from Halloween town . And yeah, even though it’s more of a mission game and more of organization 13’s perspective . But come on I would’ve loved to fight Captain Hook as Roxas in Neverland . Also, I love KH3‘s version of tension rising .
