The Primary Duty of the Mounted Guards in London is to 'VERBALLY WARN TOURISTS TO MAINTAIN DISTANCE AND NOT TOUCH THE HORSE, AS THEY ARE CONSIDERED PART OF THE SOVEREIGN'S BODYGUARD AND SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT, IF NECESSARY, THEY MAY EVEN ISSUE MORE ASSERTIVE COMMANDS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE.'
