Absolutely agree 💯. I remember Caleb commenting when they toured with Bob Dylan he mentioned what a great song this is also. The song writing is phenomenal. It really takes you straight into the under belly of a town and you feel like you're there experiencing the people and places he references in the lyrics. I've always loved the rhythm guitar part too, it gets into my head and the chord progressions add so much to that slow, dirty feeling of the whole song. Imo, the fact that they no longer play this song adds to the yearning to hear it and it also keeps it forever locked into those early days of KOL when they were partying hard and living that life that makes the song feel so authentic. The slow start, gritty, dirty and sexy feeling this song brings is unrivaled with any other music out there for decades in my opinion. The place that a song takes you to and the feeling it brings inside is the true beauty about music for me in itself and this song takes you there! Truly, authentically, early KOL at their very finest.

I'm ashamed by my country's radio stations refused to put KOL on our station's play lists, until their FOURTH album! And more specifically 'Use Somebody' and 'Sex on Fire'. I was absolutely taken in by KOL and had to hear it all! I love almost everything they play! I haven't been this in love with a band this much since the (Jerry Garcia) Grateful Dead! When it comes to "best song" debates, I like to look at it like I do for Zeppelin. I think Led's "best" song is Whole Lotta Love. Is it their best musically? No. Is it their most epic? No. But to me it's the one that sells their image and attitude better than any other song. For that reason, I'd pick California Waiting as the best KOL track.
