As someone who grew up playing piano and now play the guitar and ukulele, I agree vocals significantly accentuate a tune. Even when I play around on the guitar or ukulele, humming or whistling or singing random words makes a world of difference!

Pop is processed, bubblegum shit that is written by wealthy corporations who hire up-and-coming "musicians" to sing their fabricated crap. They market to young children who have no comprehension of what ACTUAL music is. Kings of Leon, on the other hand, is responsible for the creation of all their beautiful works, and has a well-developed fan base because of it. It's fine with me if you dislike them, but don't be ignorant.

@theillmc I think it's safe to say that pop music (= KoL) isn't the most technical genre in the world. I'm surprised to see a pop band do a lesson on GW, normally it's rock/metal. I reckon a lot of people watch this kind of thing as an interview, to see/hear their favorite band talk about music. That being said, I'm not a fan of KoL at all and this video definitely hasn't changed that.
