@@LaurenceReeves Depends on the scene. Yes "shooting" the scene digitally can be quicker. But rendering, oh boi. It can take months for a few minute scene depending on what elements are involved. Off-hand example: It is most certainly quicker to practically create fire, explosion or smoke effects rather than digitally render them in photorealism.

Dang all the KingsGlavies getting killed all over the place is just sad, they all worked together now they backstabbed one another. Also the color of both the leaders wearing white and black, remains a lot of a game of chess, white makes its first move, black retaliate and all the pieces fall into place and the game ends with 1color standing. The first move makes the last move.

What an amazing spectacle it was! That moment when I instantly recognized David Gant's voice - not knowing he's actually in cast - was a pleasant surprise (which also brought back sweet memories of his other famous CGI performance that is 'The Dark Sorcerer' demo). Excellent movie, brilliant cast, and one helluva a stunner on so many levels (I mean, not just visually).

1:31 One thing that always bug me is that Insomnia doesn't have an entire army with modern weapons (firearms) to guard against Nifelheim. Even the crown guards do not have firearms. The Kingsglaive doesn't count as they were more like special forces and in small numbers.

@@lordpigster That's what the Kingsglave's for. They have entire arsenals like magic crossbows, kantanas, spears. Insomnia deploys both Crownsgaurd and Kingsglave, the thing is Niffilhiem planned this attack to distract the glaive from being at the invasion and protect the city. They were in Nyx's words "baited". The Crownsgaurd are bassicaly the police while the Kingsglave are their actual military.

That was something established in the project since its early conception (Versus). Lucis is focused on sorcery and magic but Niflheim since losing its crystal (at the time, each nation had its own crystal) decided to develop modern firearms and airships through technology.

If only the director who left the Versus 13 project stayed, the game would’ve been a huge hit. Just upgrade the CGI a bit more, develop the story, and put it for PS4 and other consoles. I mean XV is still good. Everything else is great just the story was lacking.

the kings of Lucii were enslaved from the very foundation of their kingdom by the false gods, they were turned into puppets to follow the prophecy; the role of Regis was to surrender his kingdom so the prophecy could unfold. The world of ruin is kickstarted by the false gods when sacrifice of the Oracle is made to the Hydraean, then most of the livestock (humans) is reduced so the gods maintain control.
