I saw the Kingston Trio in Dunedin New Zealand in 1958. Obvious they would be great. Popularising folk music in their unique style. And you could sing along to all their LPs….you could understand the lyrics!

George was always good to us. My dad wrote Longest Beer (C. Carson Parks). He's no longer with us but it's great to be able to see some great gems like this. Thanks tons.

The Longest Beer of the Night was recorded by the version of the group made up by Bob Shane after the original line up of Shane,Nick Reynolds and John Stewart broke up in 1967,calling it "The New Kingston Trio",consisting of Shane,Bob Zorin and Roger Gambill..Zorin died tragically in 1977.

New York City I think. I will need to play the laser disc to see if it is mentioned. This program is only available on laserdisc I understand.
