KINGSWAY PARKRUN REVIEW Event

KINGSWAY PARKRUN! A stunning parkrun around Kingsway Sports Ground! This parkrun utilises the paths around the sports ground and Kingsway Manor Farm Park! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of the Kingsway parkrun experience.
The course (3 laps) runs in a clockwise direction. Starting next to an ancient oak tree on an aggregate surface it quickly becomes an asphalt surface where you will run past the pavilion and the parkrun finish funnel. After 150m metres you run through a series of turns will take you sharp left into the Orchard. The track here returns to an aggregate surface. This section is the slowest point on the course due to the tight turns and can be a bottle neck on the opening lap.
After 100m you will exit the orchard re-joining the asphalt for 200m towards the playground, the course then enters the infield grass section.
Exiting the field, you then turn right onto asphalt again running parallel with Manor farm and its willow trees. Turning left you will see the Barn Owl pub just ahead. Next onto a section of aggregate path for 200m alongside the playing field and into a left kink followed by a sharp right. This stretch of 100m track is one of contrasts. A right turn over a footbridge has you onto the final stretch to complete the lap. Occasionally, due to prolonged wet weather, the start will begin at the exit of the Orchard and will be 4 laps instead of three excluding the infield section.
Buggies/prams and dogs are allowed and there is are toilets near the start. As the route is on a mixture of terrains and in the winter the ground can be soft in places, trail shoes are recommended, however, road shoes are fine in the summer months when the grass section is hard. It is an averagely busy parkrun with usually around 172 attendees, therefore, you have a fairly quick start. With it being a flat course it makes it a great run for a PB! A nice scenery for a parkrun with the stunning views around the park and a great atmosphere too! This is the 31st parkrun I have recorded of which you can find a playlist of them on my channel!

Kingsway Parkrun is a parkrun towards the South West of England, in Gloucester. It is a great run to tick off the "K" on the alphabeteer challenge. Let me know if you have ever completed the course. Hi Shep, nice run, I did this one last year. Best Park run in Gloucestershire is Mallards Pike, a very scenic single lap course.

Oh no way! Congrats on completing your first ever parkrun 😄 Will be hooked now for the rest of your life 😂. That was actually the first outing of my top so I’m glad it was noticeable! Haha it genuinely is just luck usually 😆 Just by chance I was in Gloucester the same weekend! A couple of them I have had people in the comments say “it’s “” birthday why don’t you come visit”, so that helps too 😂 Thanks!
