The only person who can answer this question, is YOU. And, perhaps, your Dom. Think carefully about why you want to collar yourself, and what it means to you, and to both of you. I had a tattoo placed when we were seeing each other not for a long time. He wasn't willing to commit to something so.. permanent at that time, but I wanted it as a symbol for what our relationship already had given me. This was about me... and he consented to it that I would do it, but under the clear mention that this was my decision, and not his. I know more people who are self collared, even without a Dom- to them, it's a symbol. Sometimes it stands for their freedom, sometimes it stands for their identity, and sometimes it simply makes them feel good. All reasons are right. You owe nobody else an explanation but yourself. But if you and your Dom are talking, I would suggest you talk with him. Make sure it's not a signal towards him that you want him to hurry "or I'll do it myself"... but find why you want it, and what it means to you. you can definitely collar yourself as a commitment sign to him- because this has nothing to do with him, but with you. Fantastic question! Being owned requires another person- someone who owns you. It does not mean, however, that you then are also collared. Being collared is often a ritual- where the submissive needs to earn their collar. So you can be owned, while not wearing a collar. On the other hand, it is also possible to wear a collar, while you are not owned. A collar has tremendous value as a symbol, and nobody says that you need another person to be collared. It often helps in making you feel submissive, allowing yourself to be submissive. I am running a year program for submissives and there are single submisisves in it. One of the assignments is at one point to buy a collar, and they LOVE it. For their meaning... hope this helps. Good topic for a video!

I Must have Lived a Very sheltered Life , My Ex Gf Loved 50 Shades , & we Planed to watch it & we did she told me loved the movie But when we did sit down & watch it the babysitter rang & i had to drive her home , & the next weekend she stayed over & she was little spoon & we were having just a loving caring Pillow talk & I brought up the movie , But she got very shy or embarrassed or felt a bit of shame i honestly don't know she kissed me to stop talking lol But maybe i am very naïve & i have had a very vanilla sex life tbh , I Would imagine You need to Unconditionally Love your Partner. I Have never heard any of the boys even speak this way so i don't know how common it is. but i think its really nice how open you are And how much you must Love your Husband/Soulmate.. I got here from 50 shades darker i've not seen it |& this was a suggestion.
