I ride from Isiolo to Nanyuki, at the foot of Mount Kenya, in Africa. The day is really hard, with a monumental 45 kilometers long climb to start the day. On the way, I meet several fantastic Kenyan people. Kenya is definitely an awesome country to visit.

Another wonderful video. However, there are a few points that require clarification. Firstly, it's important to note that Khat is not illegal to chew in Kenya 🇰🇪; the individuals in the video may simply be camera-shy. Secondly, when traveling between Isiolo and Nanyuki, the first Bantu group you will encounter is the Ameru. Meru County is not only renowned for the best Khat but also serves as the agricultural hub of Kenya. The Ameru people are the most distant Bantu group in Africa, closely related to the Kikuyus, but distinct from them. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that a part of Nanyuki falls within Meru County, and two-thirds of Mount Kenya is situated on the Ameru side.

@@mikedelta2895 Within the community you have mentioned radius, who surrounds them to the North, South, East, and West, excluding fellow Bantu? Thank you Kino for your very kind words about Kenya and its people. Just a correction, when you drive out of Isiolo and even actually within Isiolo, the majority of the people are Borana and other cushites followed by the Meru. So you were referring to the Meru and you thought its the Kikuyu, while the Kikuyu are also there but a minority in that part you were driving through. Only when you reach Nanyuki is when the number of the Kikuyu drastically increases

I waited for that episode - going from Isiolo to Nanyuki - That was your steepest climb - from now on it's steadily downhill. There others not so difficult from Nyeri to Karatina. May we meet in Mombasa. Keep it up and Safe journey.

Entrecôte! Last time I was in Kisima that restaurant didn't have a French name. A Frenchman must've bought it. They used to have the best bread and baguettes.

Hello Ives. Can you talk about the technical details of your tricycle please. If you have done so already can you point me to the episode. (Motor control, Gear setup, Brakes and so on). I really enjoy to travel with you through Africa. You are as tough as they come.

I love the vibe of these people, Kenya, especially the north, has an image of being dangerous for tourists while Ethiopia is the tourist friendly but they seem to be really nice.
