Greatest review I've seen on any tractor. I especially liked your idea of adding a 4x4 light on the dash. I can't tell you the many times I have accidentally been in 4 wheel drive and not know it. Normally its after I've already torn up the yard with my R4 tires. You got a lot of nice accessories on your tractor. I liked what you done for added weight on the box blade, and the 4" PVC to carry chains in.

Just like you I have the same model tractor I bought last year and those grease fitting bolts are only to be tightened snuggly you cannot put any force turning them otherwise you will ruin the threads, I learned the hard way and I had the dealership send a guy out to rethread two of those grease fitting bolts I wish they told me that when they sold me the tractor. Come to think of it there are a lot of things I wish they told me when they sold me the tractor but most dealerships seems to not care to inform you or educate you about your purchase. Great video my friend thank you

I agree 100%. Don’t understand why they wouldn’t upgrade the quality some of the bolts, lock washers, etc when they know that there are issues with them coming loose. I also have a 1998 Massey and have never had a bolt come loose to my knowledge. Guess it’s like a lot of other things these days, don’t make it like they used to. But overall, I am really pleased with the tractor and it’s performance. Hope you continue to enjoy yours. 🚜

I went to a Kioti dealer, and was shown around by the owner. These ship from Korea in a crate and the tractor looks like some kind of cube from a car crusher. He had two workers assembling them to look like a tractor. So my guess is, that these issues are 100% relative to the ability of the assembly tech.

Thank you for a great walk through on this model!! I have been wanting a tractor for a long time and hopefully this coming spring it iwll finally happen. I was originally set on a CX or the Ck2510 but after this I may go this route instead. It looks like a great tractor and will handle all that I have to through at it. This may you're 1st video, but sure hope not last! Excellent job! Really like the pipe plug idea, going to steal that asap. I purchased the identical model this past February and have just started to really use it, been wet as heck up here in N.E. Ohio. One thing that bothers me is that mine doesn't have a high beam headlight, even though the switch indicates high/low beams; called the Kioti headquarters and the rep had no answer, anybody else have this issue? By the way, the wiring to the headlights are only for a single light circuit, wonder what gives? SE model and they can't have a hi/low beam?? The owners manual even cautions using hi beams in traffic etc. Hope you get more subs and we get future videos!! B . Regards
@backyardcountrylivin15142 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks so much for watching and the kind comments. You got me thinking about the headlights, so I had to double-check and mine is the same as yours. Maybe it’s another one of those things where they use a common switch on several models for the lights that has all the symbols on it , but the CK series doesn’t have that option. I agree with you, the SE model should have all the bells and whistles. Same as where I pointed out in the video that the instrument panel has a 4 wheel drive symbol, but that’s not a working feature on the CK series. Makes no sense. But anyway I’m still happy with the tractor and so far it has performed well. Hope you have the same luck going forward as you get to use yours more. You can just unplug it then add a jumper wire across the connection that runs back to the tractor. I was able to find a molded plug on eBay with jumper that is made to work with the plug under the seat. Worked like a champ. See link below. Hey Tim, thanks for watching and commenting. I work in the HVAC business and the paddle switch was something I was able to get from a scrap box of parts that had been removed from a a/c unit. I did a search and the link below is a switch the should work the same. The tricky part was finding a spot to mount it so the the 4WD lever would push the switch paddle up and down as it was engaged in and out of 4WD. Also the second link is for the 4WD light I ordered from Amazon. Still wish they would make that a factory standard feature. Good luck. www.qcsupply.com/20615-purafire-air-proving-switch.html www.amazon.com/Alpinetech-PLB12MS-Metal-Signal-Indicator/dp/B07H8R9GC9/ref=asc_df_B07H8R9GC9/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312111914138&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3659413717508366440&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009816&hvtargid=pla-570252723775&psc=1

Hey thanks for watching and commenting. I have not had any missing issues at any rpm’s. Have you tried changing the fuel filter? There are also several brands of diesel fuel additives that help clean the injectors. May want to look into something like that to see if it would help.
@kman592 жыл бұрын
I have same tractor also... missing on a diesel engine is bad. Damage can occur from an imbalance from the normal ignition sequence. Check fuel lines and filter. Don't let unburned fuel contaminate oil and dpf filter!

What concerns me is when it is off of warranty.

Hello sir. Could you link what switch you used for the paddle on the 4wd? Brilliant idea. Thanks for the video!
@backyardcountrylivin1514 Жыл бұрын
Hello, see links below for the 4WD pilot light I used and a paddle switch similar to the one I used. In the HVAC business this kind of switch is typically used as a auxiliary drain pan switch. I was able to get one from work, but the one in the link is pretty much the same. Tricky part is finding the right spot to mount it so it is engaged by the 4WD lever as it is moved up and down. Just have to play with it and find to right spot. I think I ended up using another piece of a metal bracket to mount to the switch and the attached that to a bracket underneath the tractor. So far it has worked well. Great video. I’m debating on which CK I could get. I would like to get the ck2610 but I’m worried I need a bigger motor. Have you had any instances where you wish you had more motor? Also would you still get the r4 tires or would you get the ag tires? I have alot of mud but will do alot of loader work.
@backyardcountrylivin1514 Жыл бұрын
The R4 tires are not the best in the sand or mud. If I had it to do over again, I would probably get the R14 tires. They are kinda a hybrid between the R4 and ag tires. Ag would be best for traction, but they will tear up a yard and I’m not sure about how they are rated for heavy loads. I always heard go bigger if there is any question about it HP. The 35 hp has served me well. It has no problem with a 5 ft rotary cutter or 5 ft tiller. The loader is impressive with it’s lift capacity. As you probably know, all the CK series has the same loader. Hope this helps and I’m glad to share any other information I know about it. Thanks for checking out the video and subscribing. Loved the video. Just bought a CK3520SE HST. Can you tell me about how you wired the extra lights and the switch for them?
@backyardcountrylivin15148 ай бұрын
Yes, on mine there was a wiring harness connection just behind and to the right of the seat. Kind of at the right end of the fuel tank. That 12 volt connection is wired through the ignition switch. I just tied onto that and ran the (+) wire through the switch that I added and then the (-) straight to the lights. So the ignition switch has to be on and then I turn on the switch I added. Hopen this helps. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. You'll love this tractor.

17:50 I've been having the same problem changing gears with the hst. I wonder if anyone has an explanation on why sometimes you have to release the hydrostatic pressure on the loader before being able to switch grears. Is this true with all manufactures or just Kioti?
@backyardcountrylivin15142 ай бұрын
@@johnheathcote9032 Hi John, I have read on tractor groups and forums that this seems to be pretty common with a lot of the hydrostatic tractors. It’s all about relieving the pressure off of the transmission in order for it to shift easier. Relieving the pressure on the loader would reduce the pressure throughout the entire system, therefore making it shift easier. I’m usually about to rock the pedals back and forth and then it shifts easier. I do think it gets easier over time as well. Hope this helps and thanks for checking out the video. Here is a video I did about the shifting and 4wd. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2Oyd3miqMqnj8ksi=wsQxaUznyiwTtsZv
