The radiator behind the motor pulls air from the steering column by your feet and pushes the hot air out of the front of the tractor. That configuration is actually cooler on the operator than the kiotis setup.

Thanks for the video Nathan. I got a quote from a Hawaii dealer on a CS 2220 with mid-mount mower and loader delivered to Kawaihae Harbor in Hawaii for $30,000. I just requested a quote from a California dealer. I'm hoping it comes in a lot cheaper. I've gotten quotes on equipment on Island that are much more than I can buy from California even after factoring in the cost of shipping. Your price is very reasonable.

I like that the pedals are side by side on the kioti, it's a small thing but it's a lot more efficient than the heel pedal for reverse, for my needs anyway.

When you talked about serviceability, you missed the battery. The kioti has it right at the front. You have to remove the panel under the steering wheel to access it on the Mahindra.

BOUGHT MY 2022 e-max20s in 2022 for $18K with a bucket and backhoe. This little yard tractor is a beast. Have had no issues . Only thing i did not like was having to take the back wheel off to pull the bar in order to install the 3 point hitch, but it pulld my 1700 pound trailer around my yard like there is nothing attached. If tyou are going to compare tractors try one with the same horsepower and weight.

I think it's more logical to compare tractors that are the same price. Would I compare a King Ranch F350 to a base model Ram 1500? Of course not, but if they cost the same...which one would you buy?

Love the idea of the Kioti, absolutely HATE the forward reverse pedal rockers on the Mahindra, just like the Kubota. Kioti in a heart beat just just for that.

Excellent video comparison. I actually looked at both and ended up with the CS2520. So far with loaded rear tires it has done more then my larger CK20 trade in did. Very impressed with this little machine.

The CK20 was a great model, but in its HST form was underpowered for the size. These little guys will outwork your expectations!

Piss poor video comparison. The Kioti CS2520 and the Mahindra Emax 20S aren't even in the same class. Should have been comparing it to a bigger, more equal model. Then the price difference would have been HUGE. Performance and capabilities would be similar. All Mahindra Sub-Compact and Compact tractors are Way over priced. Their implements are too. Don't know why Anybody would buy one.

Great vid man. Do you have any vids on root rake grapples? I have a TYM 254 with the 3rd funktion. But the grapple they sold it with is kinda useless kompared to a root rake style. I'm looking at a Titan S/48". My only koncearn is the weight and the design of only 3 teeth on the top klaw. I operate a Kubota L2900 for my boss at his place. It is outfitted with a land pride root rake grapple. I wanna say a 5 foot ≈. That machine is ruthless on brush. Once you get the hang of approach etc. Anyways. Just kurios as to your opinion on a lighter root rake grapple for smaller sub kompakt traktors. Thanks. I subbed to your channel.

Are you referring to the Kioti or the Mahindra? The new Kioti is on a different chassis than the 10 series. It's completely Kioti-made now.

Right from the start before any talking points just by sight It looks like the kioti loader is a lot beefier than the Mahindra. And I can't stand a hood that comes forward unless you can take it right off like lawn tractors but if your just cleaning out the air filter or checking something quick the forward hood seems to be a pain, can the good open with the loader down? I'll be honest I'm never working on my tractor with the loader up.

My Kioti 2610 steering shaft simply snapped one day. Its about a 1 in diameter, snapped right where I c clip was machined and was clearly a manufacturer defect, they wouldn't cover it under warranty (less than a year old). I've also saw other metal parts bend easy, some being thick, some not that thick. he also mentions thicker metal..well...the grill gaurd..mines thick, bends super easy! Overall I'm "ok" with it cause other models are pricey. but I'll be selling it soon anyways, I'm looking to downsize, not upsize. I should also note I had to replace me "easy to replace" radiator from a stick going into it..so...

I suggest you compare apples to apples. The Mahindra eMAX22L is the more comparable to the Kioti CS2220. I looked at both and chose the eMAX22L.

I think it's wiser to compare dollar to dollar- and locally, these 2 units are the same price. You've proved my point though. The CS2220 severely outclassed the EMAX20s. You'd have to buy the next class higher Mahindra to be apples-apples with the Kioti.

I have a video going over the CS units further back in our list. The Kioti engine is Daedong (who is the parent company of Kioti). They make the whole tractor in the same place.

While the kioti is able to lift 1k lbs the tractor itself is not ideal weight to hold itself to the ground. We can play a numbers game all we want but hit the wrong bump in the yard and 1k on the front could be nasty quickly. With all that said I just purchased a emax20s only because it felt more stable than the kioti. I think both would be a great choice for a first time tractor owner.

You said Kioti manufactures all of it own parts? My Mahindra Emax22L has the same exact 60" fabricated belly mower that the larger Kioti 25hp model utilizes which is actually an Ameriquip Product. When comparing these two specific sub compacts the Kioti does seem better..kinda a no brainier. But in regards to that underhood shock..those little gas shocks never last especially in under hood applications like on cars. That thing will fail one day and that hoods slamming down. That strap on the Mahindra will probably outlive the tractor lol

Because locally the 2220 is the same or less money than the E Max 20s. The 2210 would be even less, but I don't really stock those.

I know this is a year old video, but by chance could you stir the pot and do the same comparison with a 1025R? I just made a 3 stop pricing shop. The big 3 in my area, Kioti, Deere (biggest, by far) and Kubota. All 3 set up the same, Tractor, Mower, Snow blower, Front End loader and cab. You'd fall out of your chair at the difference! AND Specs, the Kioti beats the other 2 like a drum!

Man, i'd love to. I've had 1025R trade-in models since i've gotten into the video world, but haven't always had the time to record. The most frustrating thing about JD tractors is that they take a GREAT driveline and cover it in a cheap plastic lawnmower operators station. I had a 3 year old unit with less than 500 hours where the cruise control lever broke off in my hand. The Kioti operators station components are shared with the big tractors. Look at the key switch, cruise control switch, and levers. Look at the plastic compared to steel! Then look at the money. It's crazy what they get for them.

MUCH better engine access on the Mahindra. The Mahindra Takes air FROM your leg area and pushes it through the radiator from back to front. The fan is blowing across the engine, not your legs. Your comparing Mahindra's smallest and cheapest sub. 19 HP plain-Jane to a Kioti 25 HP Deluxe model. How fair is that??? You should compare equal tractors, then talk about the difference in price. You should not compare the two you are comparing. They are in different classes. Try, instead, the Mahindra E-Max 25L about $26,000. The Kioti you are pricing, is not the model you are showing. You are pricing a CS2220, and showing AND comparing a CS2520. Also you are comparing Kioti's Very heavy SL2420 Loader to Mahindra's cheapest loader. Use Kioti's cheapest loader if you are comparing to Mahindra's cheapest loader. (Kioti's SL2410 loader can only lift 675 lbs. to full height.) Compare apples to apples. You don't have to cheat and be so OBVIOUSLY biased to beat the pants off Mahindra. Just tell it like it is. Then quote prices. Kioti wins, Hands down. You make me Not want to deal with you. I'll go find a Rural King/(TYM), or L S dealer and just shop for price before I'd buy from you. For you to cheat and show so much Bias, When You Don't NEED to; I could never trust you to buy Anything from you. ,...and you are probably a nice, honest guy too.

In my area the Mahindra E Max 20s costs more than my CS20 series. That's the point of the video. If you take the amount of money they're charging for the Mahindra, what can you get from Kioti? You're correct though; you'd have the buy the highest-grade Mahindra to get the appropriate comparison, which is thousands more than ours. That's the point.

Need to mention the loader specs are without the bucket. A 200 lb bucket cut the Mahindra to a very low 400 lb. The kioti would be about 800 lb. Twice as much.

Yeah, you caught me. We didn't have a CS2220 at the time so I used an (identical except for engine HP) different tractor. It doesn't make anything less true, although I might have included that I sell the 25hp for the same price as their 22hp.

Funny that I came across this vid, my dealer sells mahindra and kioti , they advertised a special on some leftover emax22l tractors for 18k with loader and belly mower suppose to be a 2020 model I later found out it was a 2018 and to make a long story short it ended up haveing 10 hours on it and the tractor literally lasted 10 mins and the hydraulics gave out and we’re acting jumpy and jittery, the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth so I sent it back and he send me a cs2220 with a loader and 60” rear finish mower for 18k , I did like the larger tires and more ground clearance on the emax22 but I’m overall happy with the cs2220

@@kentonequipment4687 it was advertised as a new leftover , the whole thing was super sketchy after it was already on the way Over he said by the way I put turf tires on for you because the industrials are junk , I was like Uhm ok but it was suppose to come with industrials , when it got here it had stickers from a different dealer on it and like I mentioned had over 11 hours . Super Wierd situation I’m glad it only lasted an hour because I ultimately ended up with the cs which he even admitted was a better built tractor

Some Mahindras are Mistubishi tractors, but this one is a Mahindra chassis with Yanmar engine. MItsubishi covers most of the "compact" lineup, excluding "subsompacts" like this one.

The thing with this though is your comparison is totally inaccurate..I don't say that to be rude but your comparing apples to oranges (no color pun intended) I've spent a LOT of time comparing Mahindra's to other brands and it's obvious once you do that Mahindra's models are one step off of other manufacturers models. What I mean is that an appropriate comparison between a Mahindra model and this Kioti would actually be an Emax22L...which is a much closer engine comparison but the Mahindra has a bit more power and is a bigger machine..Larger 3 point setup and much beefier model. Also has the fabbed 60" deck over the Kioti stamped. You said your not sure why Mahindra says they have best in class power? Well that's because your not comparing models in they're appropriate class.

I can tell you I payed $15,659 for my Emax22L WITH a tiller in 2019 NEW..BUT as you say price is going to fluctuate. None of my original comments have to do with price..it's about comparing models and if your going to do so being accurate and actually comparing appropriate models is the way to do that. Just like stating Kioti makes all they're own parts..that's a false statement. I get it your a Kioti dealer and the object is to sell THOSE....You did a great job with this video but accuracy matters.

Kubotas have too much plastic and aluminum, are at least 150lb lighter. The treadle pedal sucks peepees. Basically all other makers use the 2 pedal system. Also just one cyl for the roll/dump function on the loader, blocking your vision. Kubota is stuck in the past.

Learn your tractors. The Mahindra pulls air away from your feet and pulls it across the engine not blows air across the driver. Comparing the yanmar engine to the kioti engine is no comparison. Yanmar hands down. Otherwise good video.

I think you're missing the point. First off, these are the same class tractor. 20hp entry level subcompact. If you're a consumer buying two things in the same class, why would you completely ignore the price as a factor? They're almost exactly the same price. If you throw $17,000 at an entry level subcompact, these are the options from these two brands in my area. If you're competitively comparing anything you use price as the primary metric. Are you saying I should get the larger Mahindra with higher specs to compare? Why? It's a different frame class and 30% more expensive than these.@@mickwoodkayakfishing

I own a business and accuracy when comparing models of anything is critical. I think you might be wrong about the hot air blowing on you from the mahindra. It appears it blows towards the motor from my research. In my area there's a $1,500.00 different in those models and the mahrinda is the cheaper option. How about also explaining who's been making tractors longer?. I've done a bunch of research and I'm very familiar with the flaws on both units. I've talked to several owners of each unit. If the kioti is such a superior unit why is there warranty 1 year shorter. I mean if I'm claiming something is better I'd have a better warranty because I know it wouldn't break down. You're review just isn't very helpful because your clearly biased. Reading some of the other comments others seem to agree.
