I'm very glad that I was able to do a reprise and show the original video the respect that is most certainly deserves. Badger and everyone else looked like they had an amazing time making this, and truly reignited my spark for Payday 2. It's such a great game and I really recommend it if you can find it on sale for PC. Thank you RussianBadger and everyone else for being such amazing creators and making such epic videos! HUGE FUCKIN ASTERISK HERE! Sociopath does not proc that 10x damage multiplier with every melee weapon, only if that melee weapon’s swing speed is fast enough to hit within 1 second of the last hit. This means weapons like the Pounder and Pickaxe are really really bad, but the Grilling Fork and Katana work because they can hit a cop that second time in under a second. If you want to run a proper “melee build” it’s best to use Infiltrator instead, as it gives you a 7-second window instead. This means you can even fully charge some melee weapons (especially the Golden Spoon) and escalate 450 damage to 4500 (if you run Pumping Iron). Running Frenzy is also seen as counterproductive for both perk decks, since they heal you for melee hits/kills, but you can very easily build around this. Sociopath, at the end of the day, is viewed as an Anarchist-lite, with huge armor gating potential (armor gating is different from tanking where you can’t tank all the hits, but you recover armor before the damage can affect your health to effectively tank the damage.)

There is lore in PayDay 2, it kinda revolves in tit bits of easter eggs but there is lore in it/connected story, because in the one of the hospital missions there are body bags, if you stand there looking at it long enough it will start to twitch, if you might notice that the mission itself does look similar to the other game missions it’s called: Left for Dead If you come to think about it, PayDay 2 is a sequel to Left for Dead & Left for Dead 2 Edit: I don’t exactly remember the name of the exact mission, but I do know it’s there.

Gambler's Fallacy is effectively expanding the base result of an event occuring _once_ across the set. Using your example, the answer would be *50%* for triple heads. This yields the logical issue of the other possible answers. With just these odds of 3x heads and 3x tails (which should be the same odds, mind), we're already at 100%, and you can't go above "100% of the time, some result occurs," ergo resulting in a fallacy. Actual probability states that, if the odds never change, you multiply. It's more complex than that, but I've not been in a math class for over a year now, and all my knowledge of stats and probs have died. But, with normprob, 3x heads yields the odds of *12.5%* (take half of 50% to get 25%, then half that to get the answer). 3x tails have the same odds. The rest of the 75%, evenly split in half (so 37.5%), gives the remaining possibilities. The real odds of your example are as follows: *12.5%* odds that heads will *show up 3 times* (0 tails) *37.5%* odds that heads will *show up 2 times* (1 tail) *37.5%* odds that heads will *show up 1 time* (2 tails) *12.5%* odds that heads will *not show up at all* (3 tails)

It should be noted that the gambler's fallacy is specifically using these odds _after_ part of the events have occurred to try and predict the _next_ result. So it's correct to say _before_ you start flipping coins that "the odds of getting three heads in a row are 12.5%." But the fallacy occurs when you start flipping a coin, and get heads twice, and then say, "But the odds of the next one being heads are only 12.5%." That's wrong. The fact that the two previous tosses were heads does not change the odds of the next toss being heads. It's still 50% that the next result will be heads every time. It's called the gambler's fallacy because it often shows up in the mindset of "one of these rolls of the dice has to be a winning result eventually. *I am due for a good roll.*" No, you are not. Your shit luck so far has no bearing on if your luck will continue to be shit.

No offense, but your example of gambler's fallacy is actually an example of the exact opposite of Gambler's Fallacy. Gambler's Fallacy would be, after having gotten 2 heads in a row "The odds of getting 3 heads in a row is 12.5% so its definitely not going to be heads again." Gambler's Fallacy is put simply the mistaken belief that previous outcomes of completely random chance effect the subsequent outcomes.

Personally, my favorite heist to stealth is the Diamond Store. Also, Counterstrike isn't even exclusive to the Sociopath perk deck. It's literally just a skill in the Brawler tree. Also, you don't even have to have your melee attack fully charged. As long as you're holding down the melee button before the Cloaker jumps at you, they get knocked flat on their ass.

7:00 the trick was something like... the gamblers fallacy is where you always think that the odds of each action is the same, which it TECHNICALLY is, but what you're gambling on is not the individual instance of chance- it's the pattern. The pattern is what has an astronomically lower chance of occurring. Effectively you'd divide the chance in half every time for how likely it is to get something to happen. Yes, getting heads three times in a row, on each flip, is a 50% chance. Three times in a row, it's a 12.5% chance for that specific pattern. Of course, yes, every pattern has that odds of happening but that's where the actual usefulness of knowing math comes in :)

To my understanding the Gambler's Fallacy is based on what the next result is expected to be. So if you flip 3 coins the odds that they would be all heads is 1/8 because you need to succeed 3 consecutive 1/2 chances which is 1/2*1/2*1/2 The fallacy is if you did get 3 heads in a row what is the odds the next coin flip will be tails? To which many people would feel like it should be tails to even out the probability in their minds even though that 4th flip is a 1/2 chance.

On the gamblers fallacy thing you also have to be careful about 2 specifications. Do you only care about the odds of the EXACT result, or ANY result with the same totals, or do you want to include results with even more extreme totals, and then do you want to include the probability of a result that extreme in the opposite direction? All of these are important distinctions in statistics.

The old videos are rough. They have bad audio QA and have issues with redeem spam of the era. Only select videos will get reprisals, and there will only ever be that one reprisal. This has updated audio QA and is not streamlined and respectful of the original videos than the old ones were, which happened when I was doing 4 videos a day.
