O have the PSVR2, bought it for the PS5, and quite happy with it for that, particular considering thf price point. Tried it mt pc running a 2070, and the 2070 craps it self trying to rub sim racing on it. I wish PSVR2 had better lenses and much better PC support, and it would be an absolute winner for sim racing

untill we have those 4K VR screens with the best posible lenses in a bigscreen beyond form factor and a GPU that can do stable 120fps in all the new racing sims at that res I will be on triple screens, I give it another 10 years.

VR will always be more immersive and have the wow factor. With that said and owning both vr and a triple screen setup...I will probably never switch to vr full time and get rid of the triple as it is so much more comfortable and convenient for long sessions of practice and long races. Specially when I look at those gigantic VR headsets yes the visuals are impressive but after 1-2h of this on my head I need to take it off.

Resolution is impressive but is a 4090 enough to get a smooth frame rate. Currently with the crystal the motion reproduction feels a bit like an afterthought. They really need to up their game in that area for their new headset to be a viable option in the sim racing community with the currently available PC racing sims. Software is where up to now they have failed miserably, look at the standalone OS of the pimax crystal. It's basically abandoned. Does anyone actually use the standalone mode on the original crystal. Hope they do decide to put more effort behind the software development side of things.
@KirethСағат бұрын
I guess they kept options open with the original crystal and are now focusing on areas like sim racing that don't need standalone

bruh... i thought crystal light is a new one... LOL So I guess, skip that one then and get this one instead.. Compare it to pimax crystal light, PLEASE! Did I get it right ? 999$ plus 32$x24(768$) ??? 😯 x2 the price of pimax light ???😵💫

4:36 i thought you were honest?? If so you really should show the Q3 at its full potential not in standalone mode but run by a PC via link cable!

I mean there's different levels to VR, standalone, console and PC VR. The footage shows standalone

And when connected to PC it's Night & Day with what you showed and much better cost too.

@@Kireth I almost never comment (and I love your content btw) and although your response is technically correct - with regard to what you were showcasing - I agree that it does look like you're showing the Quest 3 in a poor light . You could have made it clearer that you were showcasing Quest 3 just to demonstrate standalone, and not the ultimate capabilities of the headset. And to be clear, I use the pimax as well, in addition to my Quest 3 & PSVR2.

This was a very poor representation of the Quest 3 for PCVR Sim-Racing. I'm running 120Hz @ 5408x2912 and it looks nothing like what you showed in this video.

From everything I've heard/read, the QC on consumer Pimax units is garbage. So would NEVER even consider them. No point in being a great concept if the actual products are pants.

@@Kireth What happens if it packs up six months into ownership? Nope, would not buy a product from a company with such a poor reputation for reliability.

@@Kireth There is one thing that simply cannot be changed; trust. I've just heard too many bad things about their products so would never touch them. About 30 years ago I bought different electrical items from a certain company, and they were actually great in terms of their performance....except they only lasted a few months. Even today, after 3 DECADES, I would NEVER touch one of their products. Trust, once lost, cannot be regained.

What’s the point. Esports drivers don’t use VR. So clearly it makes u slower
@KirethСағат бұрын
100% true they don't use it. But this could be because the competitions don't allow it, or it's not comfortable for the amount of time they have to practice

I decided to purchase a Crystal Light partly based on the content from your channel. The clarity is awesome… until you move your eyes. The peripheral clarity is terrible and quickly caused motion sickness for me. The sweet spot is tiny. The KZbin reviewers seem to be getting a different set of lenses compared to buyers. The KZbinrs are either receiving cherry picked headsets or the good reviews are paid for by Pimax. I did several back to back comparisons with a Quest 3 and the Q3 beats the PCL in every category except resolution. The clip you showed from the Q3 is a game running on the headset not pcvr via the link cable which is very misleading. Check the Pimax subreddit before you buy.
@KirethСағат бұрын
This doesn't sound good - do you mean moving your eyes like foveated rendering, or moving your head in the headset? Let me know if you heard back from Pimax on this as maybe you had faulty lenses which I imagine are covered under warranty The Q3 footage is standalone as I was talking about the different levels of VR
@jameyridge1121Сағат бұрын
@@Kireth thanks for the response. I would compare the lenses to that of a Quest 2. The PCL had an amazing sweet spot with blurred peripheral vision outside of the sweet spot. Checking a mirror was impossible without turning my head to focus the sweet spot on the mirror. I spent much of the weekend tweaking settings but the issue couldn’t be improved with software. I’ll be returning the PCL, keeping my Q3 and waiting on the Valve Deckard.
