They're not dead. They're petrified and part of one great big spiral. Which is worse than death in my opinion.
@BeyondDaX5 күн бұрын
Except if you notice by them staring at each other and not the spiral, it ruined the very spiral's original plan. Thus those two had defeated it and ended the curse. This is about as good of a ending as it can out in this situation.

I've always thought Suichi was the GOAT since I first read the manga, he was always right about leaving the town yet he stayed in that place for his girlfriend.
@UsrNmTkn23 күн бұрын
Yes! I also gotta give props to Kirie. She brought him food every day. Even during the hurricane! She supported him. Never called him crazy. And in the end when Shuichi finally gave into the spiral. Kirie decided to just be there too even though you could tell she still had a little fight in her. I can see why Shuichi liked her so much.
@JoshuaDMarti22 күн бұрын
I'm gonna be the devil's lawyer and say that if you think about it Shuichi didn't really stay only for Kirie. I mean yeah that's the only logical reason we can find. But it's pretty much hinted that although Shuichi is aware of the spiral he isn't immune to it. So Shuichi was basically doomed to know and feel his imminent demise yet he couldn't escape from it, just barely rebel against it. He didn't leave town... because he couldn't, nobody could. Like I know its a hard pill but the only time that we actively see Shuichi suggesting leaving town to Kirie was at the beginning, after what happens to his parents he literally never insists anymore. Never. He just resorts to shutting himself in his room for quite some chapters. Everyone that ever lived or was born in that town was doomed to be part of the spiralization. "Even if someone from town dies in another city... the smoke of their ashes still return to the town"
@rr_bagh16 күн бұрын
I feel like ppl dont mention this, maybe they never left bc the uzumaki makes them reluctant to leave, or FORCES them to dismiss the thought of leaving, more and more, until it becomes physically impossible to leave, to ultimately result in their forced spirilization
@devinspencer16784 күн бұрын
I could've sworn there was a scene in the manga that showed one or both of them trying and failing to leave. Like they keep getting turned around and ending up back at the town.
@JoshuaDMarti4 күн бұрын
@devinspencer1678 It's funny because there is actually no scene of Kirie and Shucihi actually trying to escape from town in the manga... well, not until it was already too late when the town started to actually revolt itself into the spiralization and they tried to find a way out in a desperate final attempt (aka the final 5 - 4 chapters). But even then they were just perpetually stuck in the Town's mountain side/forest without reaching any destination. But as I said, at the start and when the town could still be called a town they never attempt to escape. Never. The only actual character we see that experiences the no escape effect of the town was the reporter lady that arrives at the end when the town already starts to spiralize itself. We see panels of her trying to return by the tunnel she entered to no avail.

is it me or this anime is bullshit ? Characters are so emotionless. "Aaahhh someone just died in an insane way", and literally 5sec later they are as if nothing happened. When I watch something, I kind of put myself in the place of the characters, and feel their emotion, if nothing surprise them, nothing surprise me. Thankfully it has just 4 episodes.
