Kiroran Silk Road Uyghur Restaurant is an old-fashioned type of place that has family friendly service. It is my favourite Chinese Muslim restaurant because of their appetising, flavourful & authentic dishes. The Uyghurs are recognized as native to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in Northwest China & their food reflects their proud cultural heritage. This restaurant can be found right in the heart of Sydney’s Chinatown. The dishes we ate were:
- Dapanji
- Stir-fried lamb with cumin
- Bowl of rice

That dish looks a bit like the kung po chicken minus the potato. The interesting part is they have flat noodles in it and that will allow the noodle to soak up all the flavor from the sauce. Looks yummy. Oh yeah that is how we eat rice over here too. Did you notice by eating that way gives you more satisfaction than scooping up the rice with a spoon? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
