I searched to see if someone had suggested the hot water solution for the chocolate. 😊 I recently made some icing, read that instruction for chocolate. Love the Scandinavian colors.

And don't overheat the cream. I have found it's safest to heat the cream & chocolate up together and just heat it to a temperature where the chocolate starts to melt. Do not boil the cream.

I have had success making this type glaze using a double boiler or simply a bowl sitting over a pan of simmering water not quite touching the bottom of the bowl. Place your ingredients into the top bowl, stirring until it has melted and is incorporated.

The Mora clock is gorgeous! I'd love too see it up close in person. I imagine it even more beautiful. The yellow paint will look very nice. Especially after you decorate will other colors. I was thinking if you had lightly sanded the walls the paint would have come out more even, but I don't know for sure. Next time you paint something maybe sand a small area and see how it looks. WOW, What a clock! The decorative painting looks very much like the Pennsylvania Dutch designs we often see on antique furniture here in the states. You bought the Swedish clock from that antiques barn!! The video that I only watched the other day. All those clocks were such a lovely discovery... I'm a big fan of Gustavian furniture and -my addiction is fed- I'm actively encouraged by my Swedish-but-Honorary-Brit pal Bella - who not only has immaculate taste, but has a second career as in interiors consultant. I know like me, she'd approve of that stunning Scandinavian Stripe fabric. I _love_ those vivid colours of Rosi de Ruig's home. And the sun yellow is a fabulous idea for your dining room - I'm so pleased you're going for something vibrant. I painted the exterior of my old Victorian terrace in a lovely warm yellow and it really looked great on an overcast day. 💛 FYI - your chocolate has just gone a bit granular through overheating - a little too long or too hot. Chocolate is a bit of a delicate flower so I only tend to heat it in a _bain-marie_ - a bowl over a saucepan of water, giving you indirect heat - rather than directly in the saucepan itself. You can control the heat much easier without getting hotspots then. I don't have a microwave, but I know chocolate also melts well in short microwave bursts. I bet you barely noticed it when you tucked in, though... 😋 Looking forward to more Dining Room shenanigans! 🤗💛

I live in Florida USA and painted the exterior of my home a very similar color, maybe a bit lighter. It seemed very bright at first since it had been a dream color. I own a little cake business…cute cake…the glaze….it’s just been over heated. Next time warm the cream by itself, take off the stove and then put the chocolate in and just let it sit for a few mins and then stir. It’ll be glossy and beautiful.xx

Beautiful! I love the paint colour! It will bring out and highlight the details in the clock. I can just picture it! Combined with the lighter furniture and the upholstered chairs, the dining room will be exquisite!!! What are you going to choose for the ceiling light fixture? Thanks so much! Luckily there are light fixtures in the room so we're not under pressure and can look for something antique. Absolutely, that should work perfectly, we usually use coconut for a chocolate glaze. I wanted to stick to the recipe only to find out it wasn't ideal.

I love your channel. Your videos are so lovely and refreshing. They are a breath of fresh air in a crazy world. However, I'm really surprised at your choice of yellow paint. The mustard or egg yolk colour is very strong and overpowering. I have to be honest and say I don't think it flows with the rest of your home and the harsh, over powering colour is not your usual taste which is excellent in my opinion. A paler or lighter yellow would be less dramatic. Benjamin Moore has a beautiful yellow in their Historical Collection called Hawthorne Yellow which I think would be better for your home. Maybe you can find something similar if you get tired of this one. The good thing about paint is that it can be changed relatively easily and inexpensively if you ever get tired of it. That is the beauty of paint. I absolutely envy your huge dining room and the Mora clock!

So funny I have my dining room /study (it's, a big room) in deep yellow just like yours 😂💛its a great colour for eating by candle light it's amazing I've never tired of it,,,,, we have deep reds and blue ish grey....(.. Susie Watson fabrics) ...you are having fun. With this I can see💛❤️💙cake looks good 🎂
