Short film about dealing with depression | "Fallin' Floyd" - by Albert 't Hooft & Paco Vink

A humouristic turbo drama. Floyd, after being dumped by his girlfriend, suffers from psychological problems manifested as a little demon who disrupts his everyday life. Floyd has to go through great depths before he can continue his life.

This was SO nicely done and i especially like the transitions I also like the symbolism of his beard growing along with his depression and at the end he finally cut the beard down to a goatee to match with his depression being small again but he's now practicing selfcare while living with it

I guess we can all fall at some point in life, some of us never get up, true friends never let you fall, they’re there for you, you just need someone to talk to, then again, like me, you may not have anyone to talk to, and I have a family, they are all busy in their lives, better things to do, I’ve felt like this for many years now, but as long as you smile now and again, everyone will think all is ok, and life goes on.

Yeah, it's easy to see you've never been there. There's a big difference between being sad or down once in a while and being diagnosed as clinically depressed. Having "faith" and telling someone they're great and amazing won't help at all. Unless you've experienced it yourself or live with it on a daily basis you'll never know. Believe me. I KNOW.

It feels good to see that at the end the lead actor chooses a purpose for living, that is his passion for music.And this purpose helps him to overcome depression. The absurdist philosophers encourage people to live without a goal or a purpose in life. I think they have done most harm to people. The philosophers lived miserably and they want us to do the same. They are cruel.They gave destructive philosophy to mankind. After watching this video, I realized that having a goal can save you, help you overcome depression. I kinda disagree. After watching the movie Soul, I've realized that it's okay to just live life. The pressure to find your purpose in life can also lead people to depression when they feel like they haven't found that yet

@@nala6846 I'm inclined to agree with you. I don't really seek a special purpose like career related. But I do find it's worth thinking about what our values, beliefs and important relationships are, and we live for these. Not necessarily some world defined purpose especially career stuff. Just find something to be competent at and live life as you said. Much more peaceful and easy going I imagine.

Depression sucks.. I am 35 now, never could've even image when I was younger (even until just few years ago) to become depressed.. and here I am. You don't see it coming, and it hits you like a ton of bricks. Everyone, and I mean literally EVERYONE can get depressed at some point in their lifes.
