It is the anthem for so many who are in their late fifties and early sixties. My younger brother was such a huge Kiss fan. Unfortunately he past away from lung cancer this past summer. As we carried his casket out of funeral home on which would have been his sixtieth birthday, this song jamming in the background.🤘🏼🤘🏼

That reminds me of scene from one of my favorite FAMILY GUY episodes...wanna here it? Here it go: Peter: KISS Army soldier since 1977. How about you? Dave: '76. I don't think anyone knows more about KISS than I do. Peter: I'm sorry. What was that? Lois: It's not important. Peter: Let him answer, Lois! Dave: I said, no one knows more about KISS than I do. Dottie: Fellows, please keep it civil. Peter: I'm not sure I like the tone of your voice, Dave. Dave: Well, throw down, if that's what you want. Peter: Name Gene Simmons' special-effects mentor. Dave: Amazo the Magician. What high school did Paul Stanley go to? Peter: New York High School of Music. Paul and Gene's band before KISS? Dave: Wicked Lester. What year did KISS appear on the Jim Nabor's Halloween special? Peter: Trick question. It was Paul Lynde, and it was 1975. Now recite the ad that brought Peter Criss to Paul and Gene's attention. Peter & Dave: "Drummer willing to do anything to make it." Rolling Stone, October, 1972. Dave: Exemplary. Peter: Rock 'n' roll!

In 1979, four of our high school math teachers dressed as KISS for Halloween. To this day, I can remember them standing together at the school assembly. KISS was such a big deal in those days. My younger brother convinced my talented older sister (home from college) to paint the tongue logo on the outside of his bedroom door. To the credit of my very conservative parents, they allowed him to leave it in place and didn't scold me sister for doing it. His bedroom was at the other end of the hallway from my room, so I was greeted by Gene Simmons tongue each morning. Rock and Roll All Nite (youth's anthem) and Beth are my KISS favorites.

"Rock and Roll All Nite" is my absolute fav KISS song. One of the first KISS songs I ever heard way back in the 70's when I was a kid and wasn't allowed to listen to KISS, but it was everywhere on the radio along with "I Was Mad For Loving You" A lot and I mean A LOT of the clips in this particular version of the video were from the KISS , well kinda mockumentary, "KISS eXposed". Now THAT'S a fun little video to watch some afternoon !

Kiss was my first favorite band. My family got me Guitar Hero III for my birthday back when I was in elementary school because of the interest I had shown in the rock music that my parents played around the house, and I was introduced to many a great song and band. But it was this one that really solidified it for me. Rock music is still my favorite musical genre, and I was fortunate enough to see Kiss and Def Leppard in Detroit several years ago with my grandfather. I can say without question these guys were still as amazing on stage then as they were in their heyday. I may not have been alive to see it, but all you really need to keep that magic alive is to have fun, and they very clearly were.

This video shows a kind of history of the band KISS. When the song was originally done, it was Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. In a KISS emulator band, I was doing the part of Paul Stanley, and like him, I was the lead singer. We did this song at every concert we did. That's because it not only is a Rock n Roll Anthem, but a really good and super fun one! This is what Rock was created for. Thanks for your reaction! I enjoyed every second of it.

These guys have longevity & I think that’s what made them so universally popular (yes, they also have “haters”, but who doesn’t these days?) & the fact they’re still playing to this very day.... IT’S AWESOME 🔥🎸🎸🎸🔥

They're going on their 48th year playing. Theres only a few bands that can make that claim. Rolling Stones come to mind.

@@rogerdaly6326 .... I think The Eagles would have to be “right up there” close to that figure, wouldn’t they??? I’m a massive fan of theirs also but it just hasn’t been the same since Glenn Frey passed away ✊️😔 Maybe even Aussie greats AC/DC also can make a similar claim to a number like that??? They’ve been around since the mid to late 70’s & are still powering along nicely 🔥🎸🔥. Sure, much like the others, they’ve had a few member changes over the years but they are STILL rocking & that’s why I love them 🤘😝🤘🎸🎸🎸

I MAY have been born in 1991 BUT I have grown up listening to Classic Rock EVER SINCE forever because My Parents BOTH were fans of GOOD OL’ FASHIONED HARD ROCK as well as ROCK N’ ROLL! I have to say it’s a TRUE SHAME, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER BAND QUITE LIKE KISS 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼

Saw KISS in the 80s, and they were great in concert. Supposedly they had one show where they spent $1M on the stage setup and pyro effects. Was not the one I saw, but somewhere back in the day.

The whole make up thing was brilliant...They had many mysteries, the make up, Genes tongue, playing albums backwards, their Name even, etc. It all worked for them...Love unique minded, sounding, looking, talented bands...Thanks Jamel, Peace

I'm musician. I was a Pro for @20 years. This song is why I got into music. It's not awe inspiring musicianship... it's just good old easy to digest rock'n'roll. A kid in my class brought the single ( yes a 45 rpm vinyl platter ) and we wore that thing out. I was in 6th grade. I was a KISS fan for life. There is no telling how much different my life would have been if not for this song. BTW... I performed it with various bands both on bass and drums and did lead vocals too.

In 1996 I was at a mini-festival called Heavy X-mas. Headliner were Motörhead. The local opening band was Sextiger and let's say I've heard better. BUT the singer knew everyone in the business and KISS were playing the same venue the next day. So Gene Simmons came out in full gear to play this song with them. That was a highlight!

Strutter, Deuce, And Then She Kissed Me, there's a lot of great stuff in their library. And yes, this is/was a party anthem.

Jamal, It is interesting that you said it sounded more like an anthem, than a regular song. That is because that is exactly what Rock and Roll all Nite is. After their second album their manager was talking to them and told them they Needed an Anthem... a song that told the world what KISS was about, what they stood for so to speak. As Paul said in an interview, the whole thing sounded alien to him, but thought about it for a while. Both He and Gene tinkered around with it and one of the most well known Rock songs was born. Cheers!!

I saw them twice at the Lakefront Arena in N.O. A coworker was a KISS fan and bought 2 tickets. One for his wife and she said "Hell No". He asked me and I said "Hell Yeah"...

"I WAS THERE" was a button that was given to me at the L.A. Forum when I went to the concert when they recorded this song live that we are listening to here now ...it was an awesome concert except it was just a bunch of little kids with their parents mostly... by then they were pretty much a teeny bopper band with cartoons and comic books..

KISS and RUSH toured together for something like 72 shows. They got along well and both bands shared a hunger and passion for the music and everything that came along with it in the early 70s. Except that the members of RUSH we're married or in committed relationships, so they steered the groupies in Gene's direction. Joking.

Psycho Circus was a good one! My dad had a couple of 8 tracks of KISS. I was 3 or 4 when I put the headphones on and I was hooked on rock and I loved KISS. Probably shouldn’t have been listening at that age but I didn’t understand what they were singing about yet. Lol

The studio version of this song was released in 1975 and only made to #69. Kiss re-eleased this song as a live version which became their first top 40 hit that reached #12 in 1976.
