Thanks. If there is anything specific you’re looking for I’d be glad to make a video and put it out there if I can.

Thank you so much for letting us in on your sidewinder. How do you know/find what third party parts that can be used . Hopefully will be getting my class and SW soon. You answered most of my questions from your previous videos. Do you have to send it in for service like regular regulators or after you complete the training you can service it yourself?

You’re welcome. I follow several rebreather, Kiss and Sidewinder specific Facebook pages. Tons of great info on there. Mods like the needle valve are explained in depth when you take the advanced trimix class. Though there is a ton of info on them on scuba board and other sites as well. I do all the maintenance myself. Not sure if kiss even has a maintenance schedule/program. There is nothing to them and they are built to be serviced/repaired in the field of necessary.

Good video, I'm just about to strip, clean and service my unit for the first time any advice for best method for removing sorb buildup. Not sure I want to drown it in vinegar, do you use an ultrasonic cleaner for any of the components?

I don’t have much more to add for that unfortunately. I soak my canisters in a steramine vinegar solution. It’s around 1 cup of vinegar for a 2-3 gallons of water and steramine. Should probably be more but it gets the job done well enough. I rinse them out with water after. Haven’t noticed any residual odor or taste from the vinegar.
