I have no experience kitbashing but I have this idea in my head for a penal legion kill team using veteran guardsmen as the base, thank you so much for this video, the information, and new ideas and inspiration!

I am gearing to do my first extensive kit bash to nurgle-ify my landraider and I was wondering what sort of approach you'd take to something more large-scale. Specifically, I'm wondering how much I ought to go in changing the dimensions of the model. I.e. having an arm or tentacle coming off the top or either side that would make it a great deal easier to see on the battlefield and making it harder to navigate through narrow areas.

Exiting times :) this is an interesting one. I think that the only way to go is the rule of cool. If you make what appeals to you it can't go wrong. But it is always good to have one eye on the playability of the piece too. But if further down the line you aren't happy with it for whatever reason (aesthetics or playability) , you can always go back in a change it. it's vague but I hope it helps :)

Hey, I'm pretty experienced at kitbashing but stuck around to watch for inspiration. This is a great video - I don't think I've ever built a kit with just parts from that kit since I started in the hobby, it's one of the great joys for me! This felt nostalgic.

Thanks buddy, glad you were inspired. I agree, kit bashing is maybe my favourite part of the hobby. What are you working on right now?

Great video! Your videos have inspired me to try more kit bashing 🙂 I've had some perry miniature kits in my save for later Amazon basket for a few weeks now. This gets me in an add to basket mood!

Thanks mate! Perry Miniature kits are awesome. What are you planning to make with them?

@@windrushwargamers2745 Eventually it would be cool to make some first age of middle earth conversions; Huor, Hurin, Turin, Beren and such and maybe eventually an Edain army 🙂 Also gonna use them for some battle companies too, to add some different war gear and add details to make them different from their standard models

Where did you get the horns from the Iron Hills Goat Riders? Or are those included with the original box?
@windrushwargamers2745 Жыл бұрын
They are from the fireforge games Rambuk raiders kit. fireforge-games.com/stone-realm/1016-rambukk-raiders.html

That's a pretty nice kitbash! And I still learned a thing or two. But where did you get your hobbysaws? They look far better than the ones I use. might be worth to pick up
@windrushwargamers2745 Жыл бұрын
Thanks bro, the large hacksaw one I borrowed from a friend and never return it :) The smaller ones are from GW. My brother bought some and I realised that they fit the handles of my hobby knife, so I borrowed a few heads and use the knife handles.

@@windrushwargamers2745 Haha, well that's a good way to get hobby supplies :D Damn GW tools are way too overpriced, but thanks anyway :D
