I think Mrs K as had this on her mind for a while and we have gone for it and other than the paint drying quite quickly we are very happy with the results so far and a total predicted cost of £110.

The kitchen is about 22 years old and we bought the thick cabinets so looked at the cost of new doors and left it at that and now we are more confident we have gone for it, little and often I keep saying, but all I get is that woman look......lol.

Hallo Terry, lovely makeover and yes, I am interested in these subjects because, as you know, I am useless at DI Y, due more to fear of messing up rather than lack of skill Did I miss out on the radiator painting? Did you use a different kind of paint, and I am assuming you used the roller again. Did you do a sanding down of the kitchen units before painting? I shall look on your playlist under DIY. Hello Nuka, the radiator wasn't videoed and we used a base coat of grey and then Rust-oleum Stone Textured Effect (Pebble) this comes in a spray can which throws out flecks of lumpy paint and the you apply a spray sealer. We sanded the doors, but it's not necessary, the sides of the cabinets we not sanded.

Thin layers using a small sponge roller should be fine, as always you may and will need to change your Techniques.

We used this paint on some furniture so we used it on the kitchen units with success, probably cheaper than the proper stuff. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

Hello Yvonne, yes we did and it gave the best finish, we had an old door where the cooler was to practice on and that helped to get the right technique.

There is a wax you can apply which brings out the colour and gives some protection.

Hello Karl, not with this product but we use the wax on the chalk effect Paints which provides protection.

Oh good any product that gets rid of the waxing process is good in my eyes as I found it to be a real pain in the nether regions. I know you have no say in missus k's colour schemes but I have lived with her chosen greys, whites and blacks etc and although it looks fantastic at the start I found it seemed to get old very quick and everything seemed to look very flat and drab and felt a little bit cold( this took about 18 months, I'm not talking weeks here ) I'm really hoping that this doesn't happen to you but if it does don't do what I did and go the polar opposite with super bright colours because that doesn't last long either haha

Hello my friend, yes i don't see any problem and very little prep is required, sticks to most wood even varnished, always try a small area first and we used a sponge roller and again try different methods of application. hope that helps.
