KITCHEN TAKEOVER!!

The title says it all. I got home after a trip and was exhausted - but delighted that Luke and Jill and the kids (Camp David Adventures) were all in the house!!! So - instead of having to fix dinner myself - Susan and Jill jumped in and took over and I couldn't have been happier. One of my favorite things - "A Wedge Salad"! Easy to make and a great change-up on those weeknights when you're unsure what to do for dinner! ENJOY

That wedge salad looks delicious! The chicken and the blue cheese, red onion, croutons and tomatoes! Yes , mam. Yummy! Great light dinner. Always can go back for seconds or eat some dessert or the extra rotisserie chicken. Thumbs up! I think walnuts would be delicious too on the salad or sunflower seeds, bell papers, shredded carrots. But, then it wouldn’t be a wedge salad lol.

A tip I learned about sliced onions in salads: soak the sliced onions in cold water while you prep the meal and that will weaken the strength of the onion flavor, yet still provide the robust flavor of the onion without it being overpowering. Pat them dry with a paper towel before putting on the salad.

😂😂😂...(☝🏻sit down for this one) and the salad looks perfect!!! 💁🏻‍♀️I was listening, not paying much visual attention and at the time I looked away, Papa was talking about vinaigrettes and how his dad really liked a good wedge salad...well, having literally just woke up within the past 15 minutes and not fully visually alert I was consoling service dog after a stormy morning when I completely missed Nana coming into the frame...I went back to paying attention to the video and without my glasses on, I thought Papa had donned a floral apron and my eyes didn't adjust to the human change so it took me a few good seconds to realize it was Nana and NOT Papa florally decorated 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄👍🏻

The wedge salad looks delicious! There is an upscale steakhouse in San Antonio that we like to go to for special occasions. They offer an iceberg wheel that is a big slice of iceberg lettuce with dressing and then French potato strings on top!
