HELLO EVERYONE! FYI, WE ARE ALL DOING FINE ON THIS SIDE OF OUR STATE FOLLOWING OUR STATE'S ENCOUNTER WITH HURRICANE IAN. WHILE THE WEST SIDE OF THE SAFE SUFFERED DEVASTATING DAMAGE AND LOSS OF LIFE, ON THE EAST SIDE HERE WE ARE ALL FINE. WE HAVE HAD A TON OF RAIN AND MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL WATER LEVELS ALONG WITH SOME REAL WINDS - BUT ALL-IN-ALL WE'RE GOOD. THIS MORNING THAT STORM WILL MOVE OFF OF FLORIDA, HEAD OUT TO SEA AGAIN THEN IS EXPECTED TO MAKE LANDFALL AGAIN UP IN THE CAROLINA'S ETC. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR CONCERNS, INQUIRIES AND PRAYERS. BE SAFE EVERYONE!

Sauce looks great. In my home ec class many years ago. I was blessed when a friend's granny from Italy visited taught us how to make a true sauce. It was so good. She said if it's time of year can't the right tomatoes. Use in the can Cento San Marzano tomatoes. They are canned from Italy and nothing added. They taste great. I used those at times and then used what's best price. I think if you flavor right that's what count. Praying y'all are safe and all of Florida. My sister lives there and she said yesterday the river behind her house was almost to the banks. So they watching the water levels. God be with you.

I just commented I only Cento! I use half crushed tomatoes and half whole, peel, San Marzano. I usually use three, 28oz cans of each. All San Marzano are too sweet and too expensive! They cost about $5 per can where I live in NY! Also, when you buy San Marzano tomatoes, always look for the DOP seal and never buy ones that say "San Marzano style tomatoes ". You want to make sure you're buying the real thing! I was lucky and grew up with lots of Itallian friends with Italian grandma's! Going to their houses after school on Mondays was the best! We were always served a huge feast of incredible leftovers from Sinday dinner! Better than any Italian restaurant I've ever been to! It's awesome you have that memory!

Hello Papa's kitchen....Spaghetti is my all time favorite food to eat. I especially make it during the fall time. Make a nice pot of it and then freeze the leftover sauce. Easy warm up after a long day of working. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Yummy!!!! 😋 your sauce looked delicious!!!! You are so right about the cost of spaghetti sauce!!!! It’s ridiculous! I saw it on sale 2 for $10!!!! Ten dollars?!?!no meat in it where do they come up with these prices?! Its nuts! You know I remember being a kid growing up in the 70’s and mom would go grocery shopping every two weeks and if we ran out of things during that time we did without. But the cart would be bursting to overflowing and then she would get this extremely long receipt we used to joke she could use them for wallpaper but I remember looking at all the prices and they would be under $1 very seldom usually just the meat would be more but these days barely anything is under $1! To buy the amount of food my mom used to buy I would guess it would easily cost $1200. in todays prices back then it was never over $150 and we ate incredibly well and mom baked and we had three meals a day and snacks. I don’t know how families are surviving today with the price of food. It must be soooo terrible to be a working adult and still need to use the food bank. It’s so sad the way the world is going.

Yum! You can use grated, puréed or juiced carrot in the sauce to help cut the Acidity instead of sugar

🙏🙏Prayers you are okay during the hurricane.🙏🙏...Nice looking sauce... I make mine with onions, peppers, garlic, stewed tomatoes, hamburger and sausage...... and let it simmer all afternoon.... Sausage and hamburger are cooked separately and drained of any grease... then added....What was up with the little white feather in your watch band... That thing stayed there the entire time..... I thought maybe you were moulting... LOL...
