@paulandlaurahausman379Ай бұрын
You could install a caracel in the corner, on the right side of the sink cabinet nicely. A double sink is nice but with canning and processing meat one sink style will give you plenty of workspace for washing jars, big heavy pots and pans, and cleaning meat. Two - one door cabinets will take care of the pots and pans, with a draw for the kitchen working tools or silverware next to the sink cabinet. Use the butcher block top you bought next to the stove. You can use it like a "L" shape counter to sit at.

I woke up at 4:30am and was greeted with a cold room (60's inside) and a video from my favorite Alaskan channel. Turned the heater on and think I'll have soup for breakfast. Been eating Taco style soup with lots of veggies for breakfast lately. Love it.

Do you really need all those things… You’ve packed everything in but the kitchen sink… Lol! Sean, you know I’m kidding. The kitchen is the heart of the abode and no matter where you go with it, we all know it’s gonna be alright! Wow you got that monster in! Now the real fun begins, Lol! Are you thinking about another sink for an outdoor prep station next year?

Plumbers putty under the sink perimeter, and you could also mask off the parting line between butcher blocks, and use plumbers putty to seal the joint. The putty stays soft, you could always take it apart if needed.

I hope the family and all the chickens and Sam are all doing well.

Suggestion: instead of cutting the butcher block sink countertop, consider moving the cabinet to the end of the counter, which leaves a gap between sink cabinet and those on the other wall, you could incorporate some shelves in that area, or a spot for a waste can. Also consider getting a smaller sink, just one large sink instead of a double sink.

Another step up in your kitchen. I have the same faucet in my kitchen, it looks nice, serves it purpose. Don't worry about "the mess", you are working on different projects,, is all good! The soup looks yummy!! I made something called "pasteles". Is almost a version of tamales. Is a traditional puertorican meat-filled patty served during the holidays. We use green bananas, something called white yautia or malanga and small piece of pumpkin. The meat we mostly use is pork. It's delicious. Thank you for another awesome video.

Hi Sean, i heard you mention you were watching Bob Ross. A few years into my retirement i accidently started art classes at my community college. I took drawin II, three times! I never did any paintbrush art stuff. (I sewed knitted embroidered…all needing an artist eye). My goal was to oil paint pirtraits. My youngest son bought me a BobRoss set, so I also triedhis method. I ended up taching private art lessons to a half dozen students. I had a fast learning curve and one student in my class asked to work with her which we did for about three yrs. Are you interested in learning to paint? You have a terrific environment for landscapes. If you are interested i’d be willing to help you with bsic theory. My last teacher was a professional srtist from who I took zoom lessons because he lived in Peru. I took from him for 2.5yrs and still follow him. Internet classes work. I never painted on a canvas until about 12 yrs ago. I took a break when my son died….i took a break from life’s normal activities while in deep grief. Sorry to write so long as a comment. I couldn’t find your email address. M.chester@mindspring.com. PS your doing a great job on your kitchen. I’m surprised you cut the wood board for your sink rather than using it for a bread board. We, hubby and me, watched your video this evening.

Shouldn't there be some type of calking between sink and counter. Also, glue black tar felt pad to under side of sink to make it less tinny and clanky sounding. I thought most SS sinks come with this already. Lastly, I would have gotten a single compartment, deep sink, or no divider, that forever limits large items. Otherwise, SS is the way to go, in my book...never want preclean, but could live with one piece corian. Lastly, a requirement of mine would be having a window in front of said sink, but that's just me. Progressing!
@SeanInAlaskaАй бұрын
I picked up the caulking for the sink but have not set it yet, there is no sound insulation on this sink at all....but I am ok with that. I went with this style sink, 2 compartment, because both sides were large and can handle all the pots and pans I have. The reason my sink is not on a window wall is simple...when I do dishes I do not look out windows lol....I look at the sink, the window counter will give me a good view while working on that counter.
@karlbe8414Ай бұрын
