To those wondering, The Capri stayed open until 2019, when they closed due to health reasons. They kept Gordon's menu, started serving lunch and fresh produce, and business was up more than 20% for the coming years. Gordon revisited the restaurant in a special episode and loved their pizza. They also won a prize for the best pizza in Eagle Rock. The twins posted on Facebook to thank their customers and staff. The episode aired in 2011 and the twins are appreciative of Gordon's help.

I find it really difficult to feel any form of empathy for them. I worked in a restaurant and we had a new boss who was just like them, a 45 years old child who played at being the boss. He wanted that job just for free food and the feeling of having power but didn’t do any work. When things got rough, and of course it did, he positions himself as a victim, crying over everything that happens to him (even though he made it happens). They are not bad people, but they never should have been in charge of a restaurant. As an employe, you’re not supposed to feel like you have to babysit your boss.

I empathise with the twins so much. That headspace of feeling like a failure is crippling. I was diagnosed with depression years ago and there’s a lot of really dark days. Man, there are plenty of days where I’ve genuinely considered just giving up and ending it. What’s worse is when you feel the judgement of your family and friends for not being as active or staying home. My brother in particular is the type of person who’s driven solely by money, it’s actually kinda sad that any time he buys something there’s an intention of it somehow making him money. And sure it’s awesome to have wealth, but if that’s all you care about you can’t judge others. For the past 4 years I’ve worked for a charity organisation here in New Zealand, for people with neuromuscular conditions. As I’m one of them I decided to step up and make an effort. 2 Years was as the Youth Representative and 2 as a general employee I guess. I write articles, attend a lot of meetings, make decisions, and participate in events. Recently I was promoted to VP and doing a lot more to support our membership. Despite all those responsibilities, and the work I do, I still feel like a failure day to day. Like I’m the most worthless shit in the world. I know that I was chosen for my new role because the staff all trust and believe in me, seeing my work over the last few years and thinking I’m worthy of the title. But damn, that weight… it’s almost unbearable. It’s like having a little storm cloud following you around every second of every day. Depression is real monster…
