To those wondering, The Capri stayed open until 2019, when they closed due to health reasons. They kept Gordon's menu, started serving lunch and fresh produce, and business was up more than 20% for the coming years. Gordon revisited the restaurant in a special episode and loved their pizza. They also won a prize for the best pizza in Eagle Rock. The twins posted on Facebook to thank their customers and staff. The episode aired in 2011 and the twins are appreciative of Gordon's help.

As much as its heartbreaking you always have to remember that the great thing about failing is the lesson it teaches you so it helps you going forward not to make the same mistake and i know thats easier said than done i fail at a lot of things in life also but the point is you cant always win, we all fail at somepoint and thats the beauty of failing its the recovery that makes success that more bittersweet when you achieve it, dont give up !

JUST. DO IT XD So sorry, I had too :/ More seriously, therapy can help for such issues if you can afford it. Or starting by simple things. Adding spice here and there. Like: running in the rain. You cannot fail that I know but it's also a mental barrier people have. And I gotta say it's actually quite nice if you can change clothes right after ;) Once you start to challenge yourself doing things you think you cannot/shouldn't do, it becomes easier and easier :)

Don't forget what the chef said about the twins - and he really knows! "If they don't get their way they cry, or have a temper tantrum. There's a part of me that's glad to see the boys get what they deserve - a lesson in humility". That said, this is one of the rare 'Kitchen Nightmares' restaurant success stories. You know, admitting a failure makes so so so much more of man then beeing indenial and arrogant. Even if he cries, Gordon knows that. Thats why he isn't going to yell/curse like we love him. Really opened my heart with the little pep talk on 17:45. Sad to hear that they closed in 2019 but they had a hella off a good run after the show. One of the few Restaurant's that actually took advantage from the opportunity with Gordon. Such a heartwarming Ep. :)

This episode is one of my favourites as it's a perfect representation exactly why Gordon is respected as much as he is. He goes from a hard drill sergeant putting people in their place to a patient mentor when it's needed from him. Just the way he says "You are _not_ a failure" is so kind and compassionate that it'd lift anybody up. Gordon, at his core is a kind soul but he'll only help you if you willingly admit your faults and commit to his advice. Otherwise you're in for the dressing down of a lifetime.

I find it really difficult to feel any form of empathy for them. I worked in a restaurant and we had a new boss who was just like them, a 45 years old child who played at being the boss. He wanted that job just for free food and the feeling of having power but didn’t do any work. When things got rough, and of course it did, he positions himself as a victim, crying over everything that happens to him (even though he made it happens). They are not bad people, but they never should have been in charge of a restaurant. As an employe, you’re not supposed to feel like you have to babysit your boss.

It took me years to forgive myself for my failure at being a good husband/step parent. . It’s a very empty, lonely, horrible place to be. It did teach me one thing though, you only have one chance at most important things so give it your all or don’t bother even trying. To hear that from someone of Gordons stature must’ve felt so good. I empathise with the twins so much. That headspace of feeling like a failure is crippling. I was diagnosed with depression years ago and there’s a lot of really dark days. Man, there are plenty of days where I’ve genuinely considered just giving up and ending it. What’s worse is when you feel the judgement of your family and friends for not being as active or staying home. My brother in particular is the type of person who’s driven solely by money, it’s actually kinda sad that any time he buys something there’s an intention of it somehow making him money. And sure it’s awesome to have wealth, but if that’s all you care about you can’t judge others. For the past 4 years I’ve worked for a charity organisation here in New Zealand, for people with neuromuscular conditions. As I’m one of them I decided to step up and make an effort. 2 Years was as the Youth Representative and 2 as a general employee I guess. I write articles, attend a lot of meetings, make decisions, and participate in events. Recently I was promoted to VP and doing a lot more to support our membership. Despite all those responsibilities, and the work I do, I still feel like a failure day to day. Like I’m the most worthless shit in the world. I know that I was chosen for my new role because the staff all trust and believe in me, seeing my work over the last few years and thinking I’m worthy of the title. But damn, that weight… it’s almost unbearable. It’s like having a little storm cloud following you around every second of every day. Depression is real monster…

I feel you. I have depression too and despite the skills that I have, I still feel like I should've never been born and have even attempted to end it twice. I hope you are getting the help you need and gradually have some positivity in your life, It takes time, and if you work hard and allow yourself to be patient and kind, It will get better for you. Trust me, It took me a lot of courage to reach out to find a therapist that would listen and understand me, but I finally found one, and I'm working on being a more positive person

holy crap this was the most emotional episode for me!! They were honestly so wholesome, had the hearth in the right place they just had no idea what food was, how to run a buisness and were overall a bit overwhelmed and clueless. Jim was so quick to see his mistakes and were very emotional. So sweet and I'm so happy they got a happy ending!

This is one of the episode in KN that made me emotional. You can really feel their sadness and their disappointment on themselves. It makes me relate to them so much as I'm also a lazy person and feel like a failure. I'm still a teen, but seeing my friends progressing, I can't help but to put myself on their shoes and Gordon, for the love of God is so eye opening. He really is a role model.

You are not a failure. As long as one keeps trying, one can never be a failure. You are young and maybe you haven't found something that makes you feel so passionate, it beats the laziness (whatever you define as laziness). Look out for what gets you excited to start your day! That's how i beat my laziness ;-)

Speaking generally here Only feeling sad and disappointed isn't gonna change anything is it? Laziness is a choice, you can't blame anyone else for your laziness so if you want a change you have to make it yourself It's okay to be lazy but it's not okay to stay lazy
