Good video! does the adjustable sizes work as well as fixed sizes? Meaning... the 44-52 from cabrinha in 52 will work the same as a 52cm fixed bar? Thanx!

I feel like 22 meter lines is the sweet spot. You have more control so you can fly the kite more aggressively verses longer lines.

hi Jeff. i love your channel, super helpful. here's a topic you should make a video about. how to launch a kite from a boat. i tried swimming away from the boat while unwinding, and while the kite is on the boat, this produced tangled lines. i tried drifting the kite away while i was on the boat while unwinding from the bar, this produced tangle lines. the best method i found was the bucket method. what are your thoughts, and how do i land with a boat. and should you launch kite while chicken loop is attached to the boat? this resulted in a snapped line for me. thanks. ps its deep water with no shore and no buoey. -andrew

Also.. I have a 44cm cabrinha bar for my 8m kite switchblade works perfect. I am buying an 11m drifter kite for waves... should I get a 50cm bar or would I be able to pull it off with the 44cm bar? what do you think based on your experience? thanks!

The 44cm will work for you but I would recommend a 50 for that kite every time.

i learned on 18m lines, would not go longer than 20m on any of my kites. Bought a dice 9m and new 24m lines for it, rode it for 2 seasons, thought i would get used to it... Nope, never did, paid $200 to have those lines shortened because i hated them in 24m. Cannot fly long lines. Period. They have completely different flight dynamics. All my tricks are off, all my turns are off, have to "re-learn" all the movements because timings are completely off... Now I wouldn't fly anything longer than 22m, i like big boost jumps and big waves so that's my 2 cents

Generally speaking no there isn't. That said, you will not want to use a "high Y" bar on a kite designed to fly on a "low Y". And using a larger bar, like 55cm or bigger, can make small kites turn faster and is something you just need to be ready for.

I just subscribed to your channel. I'm buying my first kite soon, I'm trying to make up my mind if I should buy a HQ neo 3 or a Ozone frenzy 2014. I'll probably only use it for snowkiting.
