The panel analysis was fascinating - 1 nit is really good to see for old tech. The ABL was always a problem, as the screens can look patchy when you see sections brightning up

Actually found it at Argos at some point for £450, then with voucher you could get it down to £413, crazy.... i didn't know if my finances would be ok to get it so i regret it now. I am looking to get it for black friday or Christmas. If it won't go down in price i will go for mai mag 271qpx qdoled

A lot of it would depend what colour space you are using - if an OLED like this came calibrated to sRGB like the results I showed, it would look relatively desaturated compared to its native wide gamut

That uniform brightness is a useful feature get annoyed with weird brightness fluctuations you get depending on window size.

Actually not that bad of a monitor solely due to the price, especially in AU/NZ :) One thing that annoys me about this monitor is that I can't have it run the pixel compensation/cleaning after 16 hours (or if the display is in standby/off). So it gets kinda annoying every 4 hours lol

This looks like it'd be quite a step up from my current TN panel (HP 27XQ, i think). I had an OLED TV for about 5 years. During that time, it never suffered from burn in, as i was very vigilant. I would hope that this panel is not particularly vulnerable to it IF one takes good care of it. 🙂

that's effectively average colour temperature, testing over a range from black to grey to white. 6500k is the standard, above is cool and below is warm

Pixel shift etc doent work to prevent burn in. Any game which has the same info in the same area is going to burn the image into the screen eventually.

Yeah it is, it's very much personal preference but for OLEDs you don't get as perfect black levels with a matte finish
