@UCVocdrYKg12fK_llVIPShgg no you idiot, picking old sagat (the most powerful character in the game before akuma) and literally just spamming tigers after tiger is cheap as hell. John Choi is cheap as hell that’s why when you see someone cheap being absolutely destroyed it’s fun. Bare in mind Old sagat is frowned upon and banned in all decently high level tournaments in Japan (source is ryan heart who got his source from Daigo himself) so Daigo didn’t have much fighting experience against Old Sagat so tf you on about? And that comment was 9 years ago you really think anyone cares what you have to say now?

@@rsmith02 We took the game seriously in our day. it was cutthroat. You don't understand how crazy it was at all the arcades and at World's Finest Comics. Friendly or not, Jeff took 13 or 14 rounds out of the 20 they played off Daigo that night and was retired for 10 years. My point is the OG's were just better at the game. Of course after the Tomo days, Japan became the best and still are to this day. I live here in Tokyo and I still play against all the old and new high level players. We are not into SFV. and yes Tomo got into girls and was a DJ at one point then he went to college like Jeff did. Jeff was actually a Marine at the time and was a bit older than us. I know it's annoying to watch (and definitely annoying to listen to), but anything goes when playing for money. It's a bit deeper than "throw projectile until you win" but there really isn't much to counter it with. The mechanics of SF2 make projectiles an amazing tool. SF3 parry and SF4 Focus attack help a bit so we see fewer games that play out like this.

Balrog was designed as a pastiche of real-life boxer Mike Tyson and was originally named M. Bison (short for "Mike Bison") in the Japanese versions, while Vega and M. Bison were originally named Balrog and Vega respectively. When the game was localized for the overseas market, the names of the bosses were rotated because the name and resemblance could have led to a likeness infringement lawsuit.
