Wonderful video, thank you for sharing. We are getting to -30C here and winter is soon to take a cold turn into darkness and colder temperatures. My wife has long hair and you forgot to mention that the hair breaks easily when you go outside with wet hair. Something we do differently here is that our home are western style with the bathroom integrated into the house. We also have water wells with the home built over the well to keep the water from freezing. The water is very cold at about 1C 😎

You always show how the Yakutian people get their water in ice form but never how they get rid of their waste. The water in the bathhouse has to go somewhere or else it will just freeze and form a chunk of ice wherever it was left.

I think that’s how it works. The waste just freezes to the point where no bacteria can be spread. I could be wrong though.

It's a small detail I've noticed in some videos, like this one, but I'm curious how women take care of their nails. I see enhancements like acrylic and gel nails. Are there nail salons in urban areas? Do women do their nails at home? Like hair care, it's not something we consider too much on a day to day basis. I really liked this look at something as "simple" or commonplace as taking care of hair, especially long hair. I've had short hair and long hair, and shorter hair is definitely lower maintenance. :)
