Great to hear some of those stories. As an Aussie kid in the 80’s I used to think Mark Graham was a legend amongst those kiwi players.

@@pointofdifferencerugbyleague I was just a teenager but did well playing rugby for ponsonby ponies our coach was the caretaker at Richmond rd primary school then jumped ship after watching this man playing for the kiwis and went down the hill to Grey lynn pk play for the Richmond bulldogs, Fred ah koui brought Mark Graham to our prize giving and got to meet him and I was absolutely star struck in 1987, he's is a wonderful humble man

Just watched the first test from 85. Mark wasn't just cleaned up, a cheap forearm from Noel Cleal knocked him out before he hit the ground. But thats how the game was played then, noone was an angel :)

Unbelievable what he endured...so tough..such skill .nobody wanted to mix it with him....i remember him giving gavin miller the message after miller was trying to harass Freeman in a test...miller just melted... best league interview i've watched ..
