Hardware sounds beefier. Did you match the input levels? I think 14 dbVU would be a good test level!

Yeah, stealthier than other tube saturators, plugin sounds a bit cleaner, can definitely be better

Funny how you turn the "Output" knob while it´s not doing anything at all because you´ve got Autogain enabled LOL. And in the HW/SW comparison you´ve got the Oversampling disabled on the plugin, which is a MUST for a saturator to have on because of aliasing, so this is a flawed comparison too.

Thanks for the feedback. I did actually bounce the files with oversampling enabled in the SW/HW comparison. I just wanted to show the settings so sorry for the confusion. And regarding the auto-gain (which didn't react correctly in this version I had of the plugin) i did also ride the levels in PT after I printed the tracks so the levels would be a bit more even. Cheers!

real "future is now" vibes this plugin looks like 20 years old though, making for an even bigger surprise if you test it

Great video! IMO the hardware version sounds more upfront, but still the plugin sounds really great.

Yeah I think both have their place. Only 19€ also! 👌

I like the sound of it, but where's the bypass button? It also looks like a knockoff of a knockoff, blinking red LEDs behind the tubes? Come on

They actually developed the HW first and made the plug-in for fun! I haven't heard that nice lowmid saturation and clipping ITB before. Try it, it's excellent!
