Why don't Epic add MOD benches as an item where you throw it down and and can destroy it to turn it back into an item. This could be an epic item but maybe only has 5 uses

they could’ve at least allowed the bunkers to open as soon as the first zone shrinks. Why refuse use of access to the mod benches until MID GAME?! Not to mention, the whole point of this chapter is to use attachments. Even the random floor loot upon picking up is really lacking and it REALLY affects the overall gameplay experience. This is my BIGGEST issue with this chapter and they still haven’t found any sort of common ground with it.

@RayyanLakmana yeah...earlier this year, they made that announcement. My guess is to get more to use uefn, but I think it's a really bad idea to use a different engine compared to theirs. Uefn, a few years later, is still underpowered and limited on what it can do.

Not really. It wouldn't have as many players but it would not be dead at all. Very few games constantly change identities and mechanics. Most games only add new maps or weapons and they thrive

Fortnite as a game is better than it has ever been before. The problem is the player base. Unless you’re spending hours a day on this game practicing edits and box fighting then you really don’t have much chance of winning any games. Epics match making system is so poor as well. I got 5 kills (all bots) and then the next game I was in the sweatiest lobbies I have ever experienced. It doesn’t make any sense. It’s a bit like playing division 8 on fifa, winning one game and then being promoted to division 1, it wouldn’t make any sense.

The last new trap we got was armoured walls in 2021 and before that the fire traps in 2020. Armoured walls added such a unique style of fighting in builds.

@@BOUND-573 there were so many opportunities for new traps it sucks. Mud trap could've been our mobility item for wilds similar to the ice one, a catapult during the oathbound season, laser grids during last resort, some sort of Medusa trap last season. but NO.

I played project retrac recently (a chapter 2 season 4 private server) and WOW. It makes modern Fortnite feel a lot more clunky and frustrating. I've always been a "modern fortnite is just as good" believer but comparing the 2 it's clear Epic and the fans are on 2 different wavelengths

I also think that starting in chapter 2 but really kicking into high gear in chapter 3 onward, they betrayed the original concept of the game and it essentially became a testing ground for the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. As seen with the shift to realism over the classic cartoony look, the introduction of sprinting/mantling/sliding which make building less essential, the first-person scope on non-sniper weapons, and abandoning innovative vehicles for more boring ones, which started as early as chapter 2. Chapter 1 had shopping carts, balloons, pirate cannons, planes without fuel, volcano vents, slipstreams, rift-to-gos, ATKs, and shadow bombs for mobility, which are all so much more charming than only having two different types of cars.

In my opinion a lot of the success of Zero build has led to them trying to draw players from other brs to fn instead of trying to please their existing audience, especially in ch5 s1 when they changed the art style, movement, gun mechanics. Their focus on zb has also drastically changed the game over all in other ways whether you like it or not. Such as like you mentioned, the lack of traps, a faster paced game, zb designed items for some reason in both modes such as shield bubbles, bush bombs, and a honestly worse map design with areas that are completely off the build grid

This is an interesting point. That's actually a video on my list to do, talking about the impact that zero build has had on Fortnite. It's been a weird balance that they're trying to find in everything that they're doing but I feel like they're slowly getting there. You brought up some good points. I have a few more things to think about for that video now.

I find your mention on shield bubbles and bush bombs a weird thing to mention... Like those aren't items that could only be useful in zero build like a port a bunker- a bush bomb literally stops fall damage that's legitimately useful in some areas. And the map had been on a decline since chapter 4. not really something i see zero build affecting more of an issue of epics yearly chapters. they don't have time to focus on the map that much since they're likely already preparing for the next chapters map.

Modding is what I think made gunplay worse. Adding scopes makes weapons 100% accurate and its why the red dot ar was OP, so instead every gun aside from shotguns are projectiles with bullet drop so no op assault rifle(ironic since the Striker was great and got removed a season later). Modding itself makes guns feel incomplete or Overpowered. Say I pick up a Harbinger SMG and the attachment is a red dot sight, so sweet I have 100% accuracy when adsing, but then you have to fight the recoil, and if you want a good weapon, you now need to wait till midgame for the vaults to unlock. And why I say OP is because the Reaper Sniper perfectly showed why, putting any scope you want on it allows it to compete even in close quarters with a stock mod that quickens ads speeds, and adding a extended mag let's you get 5 more shots.

I’d personally keep the Attachments, but remove the Optics and keep Hitscan in. The Optics reduce the amount of variety the core weapons have, and it limits older weapons from coming back as well. The other attachments should stay though.

This title could not be MORE TRUE! Fortnite fully lost its Identity as soon as it became a Multi Game Mode F*CK FEST! This is why Donald Mustard left, because instead of Focusing on the Story, the Events and what made Fortnite what it was…they wanted to turn their game into a META VERSE type Game. The problem is that they arent prioritising Battle Royal. Be realistic, Fortnite does not hit like it did 4 years ago. Its very clear from what we've heard from behind the scenes there has been a complete change in focus and they are prioritising making the game a hub for other games. The most recent example is the summer event this season. We got a total of 3 rewards for the entire summer. Compare that to when we got multiple game modes and challenges for every day. But oh! Dont worry guys! We have pirates of the Caribbean comming! But that ISNT FORTNITE! Remember when having collabs where actually special? When everyone would freak out when there was a normal collab? That doesn't happen and it will never happen again. They have lost the creativity Fortnite was known for and substituted it for things that arent even Fortnite.

I would disagree. BR being a priority isn't dependent upon how good a seasonal event is. Even though I would like more effort put into them I think the effort is being put elsewhere. Wrecked conceptually was a bold theme for a season and something we had never seen before. That by itself shows BR is a priority. All the collabs we've had and are getting this season that add weapons to the loot pool show they care about BR. It may not be the content that you want but it's an insane amount of content that they're dishing out not to mention adding reload in which is a different mode but was designed for the more grounded competitive Fortnite players that just love gun fights. They do take their audience into consideration. Let's just hope for the next 2 seasonal events they do more.

one last thing about the attachments. great idea with the perks, make exotic/mythic attachments mythics only available on mythic guns and work in tandem with the medalion while exotic is more out there and experimental, (explosive shots, every 5th shot deals bonus dmg) take insperation from d2 exoitc perks

The trap issue is also one that confuses me. Zero Build would actually benefit from the use of the trap slot. Imo, if you hit the build button in Zero Build it ought to let you use the trap slot only, letting you place a trap or launch pad. It'd also be cool if items like bubble shields, throwable launch pads, port-a-bunkers, etc took up the trap slot, freeing up space for weapons and heals while compensating for the lost flexibility of builds.

Imma be honest. I like the projectile weapons. It feels really satisfying to calculate my aim based on how opponents are moving. However, I do still believe hitscan is better for this game. The reason Fortnite was always atteactive to me because it felt more cartoonish. It wasn't like other more realistic shooters. Hitscan makes the game more relaxed by not having to think that much about aiming. In summary, I like projectiles, it personally makes the game more fun for me, however I also like hitscan nd if it came back, I would not complain. I think it'd be better for it to come back. I think the Klarque made a good point in saying that no body would complain if projectiles for non sniper weapons were never introduced intk the game, nor do I believe many people would be upset if they were removed.

Last 2 days of ranked (zero build) has been weird. Within 2 min at least 50 gone. So few people playing, last 10 games i have been under 30 players left only after 2 storms so still major map and no cars (and i dont even dont like cars but its a grind juat finding anyone in game). I honestly prefer projectile weapons/guns and mods it just feels better to be rewarded for aim and not just placing a reticle over someone, I feel it's best going forward for Fortnite and I hope it' something they keep going forward with. However the game does need to be much simpler especially in terms of tactical play much like the first two seasons. Fortnite is at it's best when there's a balance of both chaotic and slower paced tactical play styles.

So, i stopped playong fortnite at the end of chaoter 2, fortnite just wasnt for me anymore. Nothing about when chaoter 3 came out had me excited to play fortnite. So i abandoned the game until fortnite og released and ive been playing it since then again, i do like the game still but i still feel that stark contrast between what fortnite was and what fortnite is now and it was just alot more fun back in 2017 2018 and 2019. The first 3 years of the game were so so fun and its no surprise to anybody that for alot of people after 3 years, it fell off.

7:17 one thing I like about Warzone is its Gunsmith having things like underbarrel Chainsaw/flamethrower/nade, a stock that greatly increases strafing, and much more I wish Fortnite would’ve done something more fun with the GS system there’s so much potential I remember when talking to my friends before S2 came out that they should’ve added instead of mythic weapons they could’ve added mythic attachments that are only dropped from the bosses and the attachments would be universal, but you all we got were weapons that couldn’t even have attachments that you wanted which was so lame, I’m not asking for 300 attachments like Warzone but something FUN man make it interesting, well atleast it is useful if you want to even have a chance at a 1v1

I've played since pretty much br released, I remember the game being something new for everyone, cartoon graphics, simple mechanics, nothing too difficult, everyone was still learning how to play. The game originally used to be a tower defense zombie game, I haven't really played since early last year or late 2022, the SBMM did kind of kill it for me, sure there's zero build but I still like the building mechanic, I find zero build just gets boring really fast, a lot of people got good which drives away the casual players, I'm not hating on the good players, just saying. The other thing most people loved about this game was the random updates and the fun weapons/items we had, guided rocket launcher, mini gun, impulse/shockwave grenade, just fun items. Not to mention, the simple game and simple graphics, and none of this weird realistic graphics and movement. The thing epic can do instead of just letting "og" be limited, they should make a new game to make new fortnite, or just made a permanent mode that you can simply select the chapters/seasons you want to play. Tbh, I got drained of this game for the competitiveness, but yall are a diff breed lmao.

The of graphic style was better and more fun. I miss everything having wacky angles and just looking a little goofy, i miss the vibrant grass we see in ofrtnite reload and the hillsides that all look the same, im okay with more plants and folliage, but stay within that color pallat and art style of chapter 1

Being from the camp of "there's really not much of a difference between hit scan and bullet drop", your point doesn't make much sense to me. If Epic had just stayed with Hit scan, well of course I wouldn't have complained because I wouldn't know anything different and I liked hit scan just fine. But the whole point of those of us with the opinion that it's not THAT much different...is exactly that. I don't have a strong preference either way, I enjoy both, I get satisfaction and challenge from both, and it was not a hard adjustment to make whatsoever. I appreciate people having a preference for hit scan, that's easy to understand. It's when people make overblown claims about how MUCH better hit scan is than bullet drop, or they love one and HATE the other that seems a little over-dramatic to people like me. I like beaming people in Reload sure. I loved the Red-eye and Twin-mag AR, of course. But I also love when I lead and calculate my bullet drop JUST right and still get those tags. I enjoy both. Ninja explained why he prefers hit scan, in that he feels it "rewards" his good aim. Which I get, but he also acknowledged that that's also just his preference and he could see why others might find leading and getting their bullet drop as more rewarding. To me it's just hard to justify that the lack of hit scan is a huge fundamental miss-step. But, I'll agree with you, if the majority of the community seems to prefer hit scan, then they should listen to that and transition back. I'll enjoy it either way LOL.

that was my point that it's something the vast majority of the community enjoys which is why it should go back. But I've also adjusted to the new weapons as well. My other point is I just think the old weapons feel more satisfying to use. If there are people that don't see a difference like you then it just furthers my point we should go back. I don't think we disagree here.

The problem with Fortnite is the same problem so many other game developers have with their games. They live in a reddit bubble, completely disconnected from the rest of the world. They don't know what is like to play on anything that isn't a super computer, the way THEY play the game, the weapons THEY like to use, they way THEY think everything should be. Only ever listening to the streamer with millions of subs. They are delusional.

Fortnite thinks we would be bored of a simpler Fortnite but that's simply not the case. A simpler Fortnite means: - More players due to higher FPS - More players due to easier understanding of the new mechanics - Current players can easily adapt - They can use simple items that can help the casual players without entirely ruining the experience for everyone - Easier to make content - More fun in general I just wish they would go back to the old style. I used to dislike chapter 2 because of the map and some of the updates they used to do. Now I wish we could go back 💀💀

They are trying to make a cod version of fortnite and that's bad because fortnite battle royale was the most unique thing in gaming it was cartoony and simple if they go with the ch1 and ch2 play it will make people want to play and not just alienate the people from the game they should keep old things with new things that would make it so much better and we all know fortnite battle royale can never die if they go with the ch1 and ch2 play but I don't think they will make ch6 for us just see having old pois with more vibrant colours on the new map it will be better great video klarque we need to make epic understand that new is not always good we need more of it

@@AmericanEagle462 I disagree, Chapter 4 graphics still felt like Fortnite everywhere but inside Mega City. Just with modern day Unreal Engine lighting. The cherry blossom fields outside of Mega, the Autumn biome on the western half of the island. It was all so gorgeous and still felt like Fortnite.

You are talking about experimenting but argue that if Fortnite never had taken hit scan out, no one would have complained - seemingly arguing against what you were just saying? I won't deny that I am not a fan of hit scan, with bullet time and some inaccuracy you have a bigger chance to retaliate + we are playing on a open map island, you could die from great distance even more easily, without knowing what hit you.
