I didn't know it got hit with a nerf, I just always wondered why I never saw these things in matches. Makes sense now. The French DD's are above my paygrade right now, but once i get better, I will give them a go. Great vid!!

8km torps to 6km lol it was a doozy. But she was waay OP and needed a nerf of some sort

@@DerkaGames I agree she needed a nerf but imo it needed a different nerf, maybe increase the torp reload time by 20%, alpha damage reduction, idk but the range was low to begin with. You can still sling those things out every 55-60 seconds with a torp build

I actually have a similar commander build setup to yours, except my inspirations are Auboyneau and Madden. My reasoning is this: maximize gun performance. Having faster firing and traversing guns along with increased HE shell damage power can make this thing a terror. The only downside is the lack of extra health from Sims.

After a pretty muddy learning curve, I have come to love kleber! Lovin those torp, especially the torp reload feels like playing a T2 dd. Great ship and lots of fun!

Got a similar build on my Kléber. I did the same thing as you did when it got nerfed: I immediatly switched from torps to guns. Instead of Mordoff, I went with Bey to get a bit of concealment. I've got "Look at me now" instead of "Go all out", and "Unstoppable instead of "Rather be torchin" (because I don't want its HE to hit less like a train). Oh, and I switched Main Battery Mod. 3 for the range module, I personnally find it "meh" to use a module to get your reload down by less than a second, but I understand why you put it. Great vid 👍

Sounds like a solid build! Honestly the concealment approach Jerk uses is probably the best way to go. I just like shooting things 😄

Great game Derka! Yeah, my Kleber has some very Khaba vibes right now. Well two parts Khaba, one part Paolo, and hold the smoke. The torps have become brawler torps. That is to say, when you’re in a position use them, you’re gonna land a hit.

I miss the days of my torp boat…..they nerfed it so dirty. Instead of making the duration between reloads longer the shortened the distance. Killed this boats advantage.

Did u try using the French crusier commander on kleber that boosts torp range it helps with torp range and fire chance and fully packed please try it out

I really really like his base trait, dropping detection 20% faster. If the promos were easier to come by I might test Phillipe...but I hate to spec another commander =/

May be a fun ship, and a way to make the most of a bad situation, but there's still no way she's a better gunboat than Khaba...not much slower, and smoke (or heals)...

No doubt Kahab wins there. DPM, heals good for 3500 apiece, and 50mm armor. I just enjoy Kleber more. Perhaps it's the torp launch angles, better maneuverability, stealth options...
