Nice video as Allways. Here is a question, why on almost every new lift ,none of the station superstructure or towers are painted? Looks so industrial with the galvanized look

@@GondelbahnMonde Painted machinery does contribute to the beauty of vintage ropeways. However a lot of Giovanola and Von Roll VR102 lifts did not have painted pylons, but did have painted stations. French lifts on the other hand occasionally were completely painted. My childhood La Daille gondola lift in Val D'Isere, the first Poma gondola, had painted Von Roll-Blue stations and Val D'Isere-Red painted pulleywheels and white painted pylons. In addition the Frejus gondola lift in Serre Chevalier has painted blue pylons which are just exquisite. All these days are long gone of course, thanks to money, corporate expansion and monopolization. German and Austrian ropeways too were usually completely painted. Stations, pylons and all.

@@GondelbahnMonde It probably wouldn't even be worth a single glance if it didn't have the Bell Maschinenfabrik pylons and the original station housing. The only work from Bell left in Switzerland are their funiculars and the pylons of this and the Frakmunteggbahn in Kriens, Bell's place of origin. If only people weren't so lazy and managed the ropeways themselves, rather than rely on governmental authorities to do so... maybe we'd still have the Pardielbahn from Pizol, the Weissensteinbahn, the Stockhuttebahn and some other long gone works of art.

Why did garaventa install a 4 seater in 2005 instead of an 8 seater?
