I don’t think a bowling ball is a bad idea . a gun stock was the idea I had . how far you can imagine is your only limitations. i make beautiful wood fowls with out a wood lathe, exotic cutting boards/ butcher blocks, a excellent wood carver, knife maker , long bow maker , rye fishing flies, make fishing lures, fishing, hunting, have built a boat , outher things I seem to not remember right now. oh I forgot some of my wood working I use my own dye to stain I make with rot dye, I have the recipes for around 100 colors. if I want to earth tone say raised carving of roses I stain light enough so grain shows through. I would be glad to share my stain recipes which I also dye deer hair for fly tying. I have on hand at least 400-450 colors of deer hair. never limit your imagination, and a whole world is open to you. You're probably my favorite creator on this website. I love following video game channels, but when it comes to truly creating (more than just content) I absolutely love your stuff. Keep up the great work!

This is a neat project, totally foreign concept to me. Not see if you’re a Marvel fan, but it would be cool to see you take on the Infinity Stones

I like the idea of linear lengths of material set in resin and turned. Ideas of variations abound: Sewing needles aligned point down in a block to hold them in a matrix like honeycomb; Polished copper fuse wire tangled together, twisting into a loose braid; Thin plastic tubes suspended in resin along with dyed microbeads in order to simulate fibre optic cable; Straw or hay dyed and stacked and twisted into corn dollys. Ok kinda reaching on that last one. Keep up the great content Peter, thanks as always for the great vids!

Stabilize popsicle sticks. They've got a more regular shape so you'll be able to get more density

Sweet, a two for one turning special! I also super like how they look, it kinda reminds me of that style of bright and dark coloured arcade carpet but not as tacky!

If you still have the end cut-offs you could make pendants with them!

I was in Scotland last year and I could only find a few things like ear rings, rings, pendants, in Heather gems. This is awesome. I turn pens. Thanks for sharing!

Early on in the turning, I thought you were making candle holders. Bottle stoppers, neat. They look great and if you do decide to try more with this type of dyed sticks I'm sure we'd all be looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Really cool result - I really like the transparent one. The look reminds me a little of what others (and maybe yourself) have done with colored pencils, but the dyed sticks are so much more interesting and non-uniform. Really nice!

Oh peter, these turned out so so well! Personally liked the clear resin one a little more, the effect of being able to see deeper into the resin and seeing other parts of the dyed wood is so cool. You're hands down my favorite youtuber lol.
