I’ve been doing sled push and pulls multiple times a week for 2 years now. I’m 280lbs and it feels like I’m walking around on air. My knees have literally become like steel. The blood that rushes to your knees and the muscles around it is the best feeling ever. No other exercise I’ve ever done has given me this noticeable of a lifestyle upgrade. I walked around a golf tournament the other day up and down hills constantly ended the day with 60k steps and had zero pain in my feet or legs. Find a gym with a quality sled area and do it you won’t regret it

I haven't been to the gym for several weeks now since my new job - which is a bummer. But my new job is a blessing in disguise. I lift somewhat heavy boxes, pull, and push heavy industrial steel wire carts/containers all around the facility plant/warehouse - 12 hrs 5 days a week. I'm getting paid to basically workout.

Haha, I love how someone in these videos always compares us to our cave man selves like they were healthier back then. Pretty sure our life expectancy is slightly higher these days. 1) Do we know how healthy cavemen's bodies were? Do we have some sort of evidence that they didn't suffer tendinopathies, muscle tears or stress fractures? Pretty sure we don't and pretty sure they would have been a mess 2) Why is the assumption that the cavemen had it right? Id be willing to bet money they'd prefer eating daily without risking their lives and living past 30 years of age. I get the message though and we do need to move more. Great video and great message.

Look into the hunter gatherer tribes living today like the Haadza and Masai. Many of the diseases we suffer from today are the result of hypokinesis. Infant mortality was high in Paleolithic times which is the cause for lower overall life expectancy, that being said if a cavebaby could survive to be a cave-adult they enjoyed similar life expectancy to ours
@DMGC5292 жыл бұрын
@@ian9266 Im not saying everything we do is healthier and there are of course huge issues with junk food, processed food, sedentary life styles etc for those who choose that lifestyle but I would say overall we 100% have the opportunity for a way better quality of life now than back then.
@Tmoney79942 жыл бұрын
@@DMGC529 life expectancy is higher now largely due to modern medicine, allowing unhealthy people to live longer. Also, the infant mortality rate is lower due to modern medicine. I wouldn't necessarily say longer life expectancy equates to healthier lifestyle.

DC let's have some perspective dude. Life expectancy was shorter because our ancestors were often hunted/killed by rivals or animals. The point they were making is that man is too sedentary these days so we need to create movement opportunities, C'mon man think logically and critically.
