We really enjoy your show! My Husband is an Air Force Veteran, and we are both retired State Troopers. He really liked the Tshirt you were wearing with the tip-up on it, so I bought him one. We used to be avid football fans. In fact, we had season tickets for years. Once they started KNEELING, we gave them up, and haven't watched a game since. Just sayin'........We do enjoy your show!

I understand what you're saying Susan and I thank you and your husband for your service in military and law enforcement. My dad (he is in many of my deer processing videos) is an Army vet and served in Korea just miles from the DMZ in 1967. This was a time when Vietnam was getting all the headlines (rightfully so) but my dad talks about how soldiers in his group were killed by grenade attacks while he was there. My dad spent the first year of my life in Korea. After my dad got out of the service he spent 22 years as a meat cutter at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base. Just yesterday (Thanksgiving) when one of the football games started, it was just me and my 9 year old daughter watching. We both stood, hand over heart, during the National Anthem. Many of the players and coaches were doing the same. Later that night we had dinner at my parents and watched football. During the game my dad broke out his photo album from the time he spent in Korea and showed my 2 boys. It was a great learning experience for them. It is a shame that some people can't show respect for this Country and our flag and I totally respect your decision to not watch football. I watch football, but the kneeling does not go unnoticed and it is talked about with my family. Thank you again, KPO.

@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors Hi Dave, Thanks for your response. My Husband was stationed at Osan Air Base in Korea in 1977 as a 19year old. He came back Stateside with a new appreciation for the freedoms we have in this Country. Thanks to all who served!

Glad I came across your video this year. Love seeing guys from Michigan posting these videos from all over the state. We hunted near watersmeet for close to 30 years but most of the guys that use to go up have either passed on or are just getting too old to do the work it requires to hunt up there and I sure do miss it up there. There use to be a pretty good population of deer up there but for a number of reasons they have diminished quickly and I hope they will eventually come back to the numbers they use to be. Thanks for the memories of years past in just one video. Be safe out there fellas.

Then I saw the log part in the back of the cabin, and I knew that is my old cabin I sold long ago. Like the new part added on, great job. Lot of work just making the road in. Looks like I sold it to the perfect guys, enjoy. That was my great grandfather's land Isaac Leppanen. Is my deer blind across the beaver dam still standing?

You need 50 percent blaze orange not just a hat. Love the camp I am in Iron County
@KnettersPracticalOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hello fellow Yooper. You know it's crazy, but the hunters orange requirements are not very clear in the DNR hunting digest. But I think the 50% applies to a camouflage hunters orange pattern. The pattern must be 50% or more straight up hunters orange to be considered hunters orange. I don't read it as meaning your body must be covered by 50% hunters orange. The orange can be a hat, vest, jacket or rain gear. It must be the outer most garment. It also reads that the orange be visible from all sides. I don't read a specific amount required. I'm looking at page 24 of the 2022 Michigan Hunting Digest. I certainly could be wrong and appreciate you looking out for us. Check out the page and tell me what you think. Thanks for watching.

I was bow hunting the weekend b4 firearm, on public land in Dickinson County. Too many yahoo's barreling up and down the gravel roads looking for a place for a stand. A guy was trying to navigate thru heavy woods with an atv with a ladder stand dragging behind him. He couldn't have done a better job of running deer off for weeks. It was obvious my bow hunting was over. Unfortunately it ruined that spot for firearm too. Had I not been there until Monday I would never have known why there would be no deer. Thankfully I took a doe in October, so I had meat in the freezer. Next year I'm skipping firearm until muzzle loader season.

I now know, why AL only requires A Blaze Orange Hat, for Rifle Seasons! More than that....might get Identified as a Vols Fan BRUTAL 🤣🤣 DID NOT HELP...I shot the best Buck of the Season in 98'! Living Dangerous Pretty sure, they only kept me around for my cooking. Perils of being a Chef, in real life.....lately(2000 to 2005)..I have thought about Poisoning them? There is always this year? This brought up some awesome memories. Miss those fellers! I had to leave them...I showed up the 2 years before I quit. Just to feel included..couldn't Hunt..but could cook. MS/Multiple Sclerosis is a terrible thing. I had to move back home, to my Parents' Farm. It is West Virginia....Almost Heaven...so that is a mitigating factor? OH, if my Vols can beat bama this year......I would run through Hell, just to gloat. Remind me to leave my Blaze Orange stuff at home!!! SUBBED!!!!! OMG NICK!!!! You have a Mom, like mine? 'EMOTIONAL DAMAGE"🤦♂🤦♂ Nothing worse, than hunting land that was cut in half by I-77. Mom on the House Side...rest go other side....to hear Mom's .243 bark? I was 8, when I first witnessed her character trait....Dad had buds here for Rifle...they drove an Hour away.....only to be greeted by a 9 pnt on the 'Pig Poles'. In dead center of the drive way...Rick was, "STANLEY!!!!???? Didnt you tell us he was working today?" Meaning his Father/My Granddad... According to Dad's telling of this story!! "A , "Holy ChIT", in unison? I have seen this playout since 1978🤣🤣 She still, does me like that!!
