I've got one those knives that's very dear to me. Giving to me by my dad's friend, told me it was issued to him and he carried through his tour in Vietnam in 67. Said it opened a many of rations and I always say if that could talk the stories it would tell. Thanks for your content and service.

I'm glad you fixed the Camillus and my Tennessee brothers helped you out. Wow. Those are some great knives. I've got a Buck 450 like that. It was in my dad's collection. I use it for a back up knife when I'm deer hunting. I have used it to clean deer and fish with. It cleans up so easy. God bless.

I have a Case Sodbuster my brother gave me years ago and I had tossed it in my tool box. Watching your series reminded me and I went and found it. I've got it sharpened back up, I believe it's a 1981 if I read the date code right. It has CASE XX with the backwards Z and 9 dots between the name and USA with backwards Z. Says this series started in 1980 and each year a dot was removed.

Victorinox huntsman you can spruce it up by putting a needle and thread under the saw blade a pin in the scale by the corkscrew and mini screw driver or fire starter in the corkscrew just a couple ideas 😊

Have you seen the Marbles version of this knife. It’s currently being made. I saw them at the show today here in Lawrenceville at $15 each. They look exactly like the Camillus.

I think you had the spring upside down. I mean, the side you put on the right should have been on the left.

No, I swapped it around and it was the same result. I thought of that too. LOL

First spring looked like it was a bit high riding in the liners . I don’t know if there is a way to bend springs or not . I hate it when spending a lot of time on a knife and it fails .
@theknifedoctor8 ай бұрын
I do to, but it’s part of it. The other spring did look a little thicker.

I remember going to supply on base and those knives were listed at about $9.00. Our tool boxes had either that one or the electricians knife. Usually they were beat up pretty bad. I was able to acquire a couple through the years. My friend replaced the springs that were broke in 2 of mine.

Great video, question how do you know what size pin to buy? Do different size pins for different brands of knives? And where do you buy yours if I might ask.

I've been thinking. Knives that get wobbly blades, could softer pins be the culprit? I've never seen anyone test the strength of pins and other components. They just want to beat the crap out of knives until they break.
