Yes, I've used it to cut a bunch of tomatoes and fruit recently and just so it can make fine cuts I touched it up on the fine stones and it seems to be working fine.

yes,it will break! and you will lose that fine thine tip,damaged my two PM2 this way,but was able to bring back one of them to almost looking like new again,i think it depends on how hard it lands from the drop!thanks.

I actually like that carbon fiber. It is different, and also actually looks grippy vs a polished smooth carbon fiber. Wish I knew about these as I may have chosen it over the Blurple PM2 I just bought.

grate looking knife,i just got my manix 2/cruwear from knife center,also has carbon fiber scales,never understand why they offer these at a cheaper price!i paid about $164.its also a KC exclusive,go figure!thanks.

Yeah, for me this is a perfect Para2, I love the original but I think the carbon fiber is an improvement over the g10, plus I've really been wanting an M4 steel knife. I like to try different steels, but non-stainless steels really interest me.

I love the M4 pm2. It is sweet. My pm2 s110v Blurple and the pm2 M390 blue I have would love a roomie but I will not pay double. I couldnt use mine for food cutting. Seems like sacrilege!

Yes the M4 may rust if put away wet, or patina if used to cut foods and things like that. Though it doesn't just rust from humidity, at least not in my experience, I live in Florida, which is very humid. I've left it unattended to purposefully with fruit juices and what not on it to get a patina. It took longer than expected and it's still a very light staining. So I'd say it's not as "proned to rust" as people think. If you take care of it it'll be fine. That being said I like my knives to be non stainless. I found m4 to be incredibly tough. Recently at my job we've been having to break down boxes before crushing them, and that's always something i've heard people do with their knives, cutting cardboard, but I've never really had to. I've found that it really does hold it's edge for a while, cutting through nearly 200 boxes before it was struggling and needing to be resharpened. It wasn't hard to resharpen either, and it hit the concrete floor a few times without chipping, even the tip hit the floor once. Definitely my favorite steel of any of my knives and after using it a lot more, I couldn't recommend it enough. Any m4 spyderco though, but the only one I have is the gayle bradley currently. I wish they'd use it more. Edit: I was talking about the gayle bradley 2, that I use. I ended up selling the M4 Para 2 to try the 52100.

I was looking at your videos because I wanted to see how your Paramilitary2 carbon fiber was looking with the patina. About three years ago I remember there was paramilitary carbon fiber Knives that we’re going for up to $800. Do you know what blade steel would of been on the Para2cf $800 knife?

M4 IS considered a carbon steel as it has high levels of carbon. Although the term is most often heard of in relation to cheaper, more simple steels like 1095.

yes it's all carbon fiber. It is not the g10 with carbon fiber overlay. I got my m4 para-2 today also it's an awesome knife. In my experience with m4 its some tough stuff and holds a crazy edge for a good while. Just be careful cutting food and if you do clean the blade shortly after.

That's good to know, but I've heard mixed reports, some say it's not full carbon fiber but you can see the layers on the scales when looking down the spine.

+RazorBladeAppleFilms it is peel-ply. Peel -ply is real carbon fiber. The coarse textured g10 is also called peel ply because of how they achieve that texture. The "fake" carbon fiber is called Carbon Fiber laminate. Beautiful blade! Get mine today.

I used to like tip down but I got so used to carrying my delica and most other knives tip up that I ended up always flipping the clips when I could because I kept putting them in my pocket wrong, ha.

I think the carbon fiber on the sage looks a lot better, but I do like these scales, they're grippier and feel better.
