What was your income before you started driving? I am a business owner but expenses kill my income so I’m considering becoming a truck driver. 3 weeks on 1 week off is almost perfect for me, also I assume OTR pays much more than anything local.?.?.? Who pays the best in your experience? And what about equipment, does Knight have the latest and most updated trucks with auto shift??? Appreciate your response bro - we’re about to relocate to SC from TX and the income potential is far less there. Appreciate your response!!!!!! PM me if you feel necessary.

Big trucking companies have a ton of overhead including mechanics, recruiters, executives, etc. Where small companies pay their drivers so much better because they have very little overhead!
@TravelWithRick3133 жыл бұрын
Then why do lot of places u go to for a small company have shit trucks? Bigger companies give u better benefit don’t be fooled
@jaredf38443 жыл бұрын
@@TravelWithRick313, not sure I can agree with you on that one. I started my career with Schneider and drove 2 different pieces of trash and made terrible money with them. I then left to go to a smaller company and they pay more than double what I made at Schneider because they actually have miles. At the much smaller company I also got a brand new truck with plastic still on the seats, insurance cost is about the same and they give me a per diem pay instead of a lousy $500/year bonus like the bigger companies. If a huge trucking company works for you great but I promise you are taking a monster pay cut by working there!
