Thank you so much for this!! The pattern is so accessible & customizable! I decided to knit a folded collar at the beginning & add cuffs of 2x2 ribbing to the sleeves. This was my first sweater and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

I would love to see some more how to knit videos with maybe some more in depth details! I’m trying to learn how to knit a sweater since all I know is how to make a scarf, and I find your videos very helpful!

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion :) anything in particular you’re having trouble with?
@HanBuuui3 жыл бұрын
@@WellLovedKnits Wow thanks for the reply! I get confused mostly with the sleeves and neck stiches, why we would need to do an increase, and why we would need to change needles. I'm probably just confused because I'm very new to knitting so I have very little knowledge about it but I I would love to learn!

@@HanBuuuiand @Julie I'm new to knitting as well but since this question was not yet answered, and she may answer later, the reason for the increases is to flare out and start the sleeves. If you don't increase you will have a tight and weird looking sweater. I hope this helps. :) good luck with your knitting!

I am now in the middle of knitting the jumper from your pattern. I had a couple of false starts and initially got a little lost with the increases but when I finally got it into my head it was increase before and after the two raglan stitches, I finally got past this and got into a good knitting rhythm. I am using a single strand of drops wish (I love this wool) and the recommended needle size for the yarn so I am having to make small adjustments to your pattern. Something I didn't think I would be able to do on my own but I am doing it thanks to watching your videos. I am so excited with my achievement so far and can't wait to get wearing my first ever hand knitted jumper I have knitted myself. My mum has always knitted my jumpers. I just wish it didn't take quite so long to knit a jumper. I feel like I have been at this jumper for too long lol thought to be fair having to rip out a good chunk of my work on more than one occasion did not help lol Thanks again for your videos T x

ooh this looks a fun sweater/jumper. I have a shed load of Aran wool. Im going to look to see if there is a way to knit cable in the round top down. I am so rubbish at sewing pieces of a knitted jumper together. I have just knitted my first ever Aran Cable jumper (child size) The knitting went well but the sewing is not something I am as comfortable with. Great video and great jumper. Thanks T

this video is great! i just purchased a book on top-down knitting so i have a hint of this top-down idea, but your video really helped me get to whole picture :) i can imagine why holes are created under the armpits... due to the knitting increases. i can't wait for winter to start knitting a top-down chunky sweater like yours.

i have a question- when knitting in the round is there a front and a backside like knitting on a straight needle? Like, do you pro one side and then the other or do you just continue knitting?

Hi, I purchased the mockneck sweater and am having trouble joining the body - I understood how to stitch until marker three and slip all stitch, but do I stop after? please help.
@knitpicky3 жыл бұрын
id love to know how to approach this if I wanted to do the sleeves in a different color than the body
@WellLovedKnits3 жыл бұрын
That would look so cool! You would need at least 3 separate working skeins, 4 most convenient (2 working skeins for each color - 8 skeins in total if working in two strands) and you would use the intarsia method to switch colors at the sleeves. I guess you would start working in multiple colors just after finishing the collar. You would just need to decide what color your raglan stitches would be - since there are two, maybe one in each color? I don't think it would be very difficult, you'd just need to be good at yarn management :)

Just started knitting simple things like bandannas this past year. It's great to see beautiful, minimal patterns like this that are easy to understand. Gives me hope that I can tackle bigger and better projects! As an aside: Just like you did, I'm hoping to use Drops Wish yarn for this pattern, so if you don't mind my asking, what are the adjustments you made to accommodate the thicker yarn?

I purchased the pattern on Etsy and it turned out amazing so far! However, I used 5 skeins of wool (Bergère de France) and I only managed to do the first part of the video. I cannot wait for my next delivery!! :)) Do you think you're going to release patterns for smaller needle sizes in the future? I still haven't found a pattern for a top-down raglan sweater with a smaller needle size. Anyway, many thanks!! (Greetings from Belgium too!! How crazy is that!)

i honestly think you can mention how many stitches or rows you need to make for a sweater for details, we would still purchase your design to make this sweater, perhaps you could just mention how you make adjustments depending on the yarn type you use...
