I watched all 3 videos completely memorized! You did a great job explaining everything so thoroughly, I actually like knitting tight since it helps maintain the shape.

You are totally AWESOME! I just finished my hat, and it was the first thing I had ever made in knit. Your instructions were great, and I learned to do so much while I making a really cute hat. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much!! Not only does my hat look great, but it was my first hat ever! I've only done scarves and blankets, but your video was super easy to follow and helped me learn how to read a pattern!

Just finished viewing the 3 part video and I am so anxious to make this beanie. I love how you switched from the short cable to the longer (9:40 in the part 3 video), instead of using DPNs. When finished with my beanie, I will try to post on your facebook. I'm also from Houston!

Finished it! Thankyou so much! It looks great! It doesnt have a 'band' as i used 8mm needles for the whole thing but looks great as a beret or a hat if i roll the 'band' part up. Very cute and so proud considering its my second knitting project ever! Thankyou for such as easy to follow tutorial!

This was my first major knitting project. Also my first using circular needles. I bought the Boye needle master kit with a 50% off coupon! Anyways, my hat turned out great! It was a pretty fun project. I'd like to make one for my 3 year old, but not sure how many to CO? Any suggestions? Thanks so much for this tutorial! Love your videos!

my hat turned out great, thank you so much for putting the time into this. I do have a question tho, do you know how much yarn it uses/needs per hat?

Just to update you. I wasn't off at all with number of stitches! It looks just GREAT! I'm going to make another one, though this time NOT with a chunky wool--you end up with a whole lot of hat which is fine if you live in Alaska or Canada. I even abbreviated it a bit (by a few rows) cuz of the thick yarn.THANX! (Decreased top is elegant). Ever thought about incl a multi color pattern?
@ParanineXY12 жыл бұрын
Just made two of these. The band is a little tight but I'm sure it will settle as the stitches get used to being stretched in that position. I also somehow ended up with eight stitches at the end instead of six but it didn't really make a difference in the pattern. A very good tutorial.

I griped and complained on some of the rows, but I finished it. I did have some boo boos however, on the row that you have K4, *P5,K9,P4,K9 it just doesn't add up. Once you start with the K4, you knock off the count. 108 stitches is divisible by 27, but not with the extra 4 stitches. But thank you for being so patient.

If anyone is wondering how to change circular needles without interchangeable ones that screw off, you just take one side of the needle from your size 11 and the other needle with all your knitting and knit onto the bigger one from the smaller one. :)

I'm almost to the decreases...and I'm sure I've made errors, but I'm going to finish anyway. Sometimes I lost track of my knits & purls....But I used a chunky yarn so that it looks textured in any case. If you don't have the correct number of stitches on the decrease, can you work with that?

Sorry I probably wasn't that clear. I have one set of circular needles for knitting in the round but not any DPNs I was more wondering if I would be able to finish it by staying on the same circular needle the whole way through?

gorgeous beanie, great job :-) ... may i offer a little tip? please secure your ends when you are done, you spent all that time and effort making such a wonderful work of art, cut about 4inches from your knot when you are finished and then use a needle to weave in the 4 inches of yarn into your stitches so that your hat has no chance to unravel.... surely there are some tips about weaving in ends on youtube or elsewhere... just concerned for your work, hon :-)

I love your videos and would like to knit this pattern BUT as I looked at it you don't have a "gauge" for this pattern. Yes, you have needle sizes #10 and #11 BUT every knitter, as you must know, has their on gauge. My question is: How many stitches per inch did you get using needle #10? What is gauge for this pattern? Everyone must know this answer so their hat will fit as pattern is written. Thanks so much.

This will be my first circular needle project I can't afford to buy changeable needles and I don't have dpn or know how to knit in the round with them, I can learn this on youtube I'm sure but is there another way to keep them on the same needle the whole way through? Or how do you switch from knitting in the round to using DPN? A lot of questions I know I'm learning from youtube :/
